Episode II: Attack of the Clones DVD!

Posted on the front page of TheForce.net, and also Starwars.com, the AOTC DVD and VHS officially release on November 12, 2002! It's good to see if finally acknowledged, and not just "rumored". oh yeah, wide screen. do you know if the dvd will have 7.1 dts sound? i hope so, we got a new onkyo 7.1 receiver, its bad ass!

 

According to the DVD specs at Starwars.com:

Attack of the Clones, mastered directly from the digital source by THX for superior sound and picture quality, presented in Dolby 5.1 Surround EX (English) and Dolby 2.0 Surround (English, Spanish and French)

Damn. No DTS. Every DVD with action and high-profile special effects/sounds should have its audio coded in DTS!!

I hope I can pre-order at the stores because there's going to be a mad rush for it. It may not have smashed records, but it did very well around here.
I'll also have to pre-order Spiderman I thinks. . .

 

Whooo ha!!! *dances the dance of joy* Probably VHS (poodoo!!) but I sooooo want a DVD player! My dad said we'll get a DVD player just for AOTC!!

 

Did it mention any special features for the DVD?
It'll be hard pressed to beat TPM's!

 

no DTS??? that sucks! WTF? i hope the ultimate edition or whatever will have it... you know when all 6 movies come out on dvd in a collecters set or whatever, i know it will happen.

i dont get it, GL himself said that it is audio that is 50 percent of the experience yet there is no DTS sound in the dvd... go figure. lol.
