Although by 16 I was expected to be learning to do the laundry. . .everyones laundry on a rotating basis with my brother and my Mom. No that was fifteen, by sixteen by brother was away to college so me and Mom alternated on doing laundry and the only help I got was ability to ask a question and get a worded answer, then go do it myself. And by that age I was walking a few miles to a little grocery store to pick stuff up either by myself or with my brother. Public transportation? Bah! We should of been so lucky. A few years back I had to walk to and back from class because the bus wouldnt' pick me up, drove right past the stop, and I had to walk up hill, in -36 degree F weather, with a windchill of an added negative 12 degrees, three miles, uphill both ways!

I know you're making a joke but, my mom died almost 13 years ago from cancer. The urine infection got her before the cancer did.
