I got my arrangements pretty much sorted today with trains. I'll look up FP on the net and, all being well, I will find it with ease from Birmmingham New Street.

I'd like to add my name down to the list of folks without an FX. I'll bring my Qui Gon Ep1 saber anyway

I am really excited though. Especially as I won't be in the country for the Grand Day Out.. this is my party of the year

I'm not bringing my FX saber, I don't really want to have it for 4 hours of travel (2 hours there, 2 hours back)
Plus, it cost too much for me to risk it being damaged by traveling far

ok, just to finalise a few details.

at around 11 on saturday i'll be meeting tim, chris, rob, charlie and richie outside forbidden planet in brum (phill, would you be able to follow me up in your car because i won't be able to fit 6 plus gear into the ang-mobile )

at around 11, everyone else will start arriving at the chateau. midlanders, we will need to get our heads together at this point and sort out a whip round for flyers, honorary members things etc, and any "internal business" that we need to deal with (which i don't think there is any, but let me know )

we then leave to go bowling around two to half past (mark can you confirm the time we are booked please?)

when we finish bowling it's back here. i reckon the tents should go up asap after getting back, because i don't want to try putting tents up in the dark and when we are pissed . the list for camping is (from reading the thread so far):

dbr88 + hotbluechick
verity and nige
jon and serena (maybe )
tom and orn (possibly maybe?)

everyone else has space somewhere to kip

then, as long as it's not raining get the barbecue on the go, and the fun can begin. basically as soon as the tents are up we can relax.

fun and games are taken care of , i don't know if we will have time during the evening for the x-box (if anyone is still bringing one), but it depends how late we stay up till, and if not we can play it on the sunday morning. anyone any good at poker?

the footy for the evening will be:

portugal vs iran (2pm kick off - we will be at bowling)
czech republic vs ghana (5pm kick off - probably be back for the second half)
italy vs usa (8pm kick off)

the italy game seems to be the pick of the bunch, and it will be on the telly in the living room

don't forget your fx sabers (if you have them, or want to risk carrying them on the train) for the photos. i have two, but that's only angie and myself sorted.

and last but not least, if you want booze, bring it with you , pops etc will be laid on but you need to bring your own booze

Serena is 95% not going now btw. Her dad is off to the States on business for a while Saturday, so thats kinda stopping her.

Anyway I got my tent out Saturday for the first time since I was about 8. It looks slightly wonky and theres paint or summit down the side But its fine! It says for 2 but you could easily get 3 in, may be a bit squashed but 3 could fit in there! Plus if its hot I can open the door and it should be fine. So Tom and Dean, you need a tent your welcome in mine if you want!
