Cinema times at Odeon Metro Centre for Hot Fuzz this Sat:

    11:30 13:00 14:30 16:00 17:30 19:00 20:30 21:45

    £6.35 adult
    £5.25 student

It's 120 mins, so if we went to the 13:00 showing, I guess with adverts it'll finish about 15.30....is this OK for people?

Buses from Bishop to Metro are 9:15 and 11:15, which should get me there at about half 10/12. Sounds good to me.

Three men are sitting in a room smoking cannabis. After a few spliffs they run out of gear. One of the men stands up and says

'Look, we've got loads more tobacco, I'll just nip into the kitchen and make one of my speciality spliffs.'

Off he goes into the kitchen where he takes some Cumin, Turmeric and a couple of other spices from the spice rack, grinds them up and rolls them into a spliff.

On his return he hands it to one of his smoking partners who lights it and takes a long drag. Within seconds he passes out. Ten minutes go by and he is still out cold, so the others decide to take him to hospital.

On arrival the nurses immediately take him to intensive care. A doctor returns to the friends and asks

'So what have you been doing then? Smoking cannabis?'

'Well sort of', replies one of the guys, 'But we ran out of gear, so I made a home-made spliff.'

'Ahh' replies the doctor, 'And what did you put in it?'

'Oh, just a bit of cumin, some turmeric and a couple of other spices.'

The doctor sighs. 'Well that explains it.'

'Why, what's wrong with our friend?' asks one of the men.

'He's in a korma' replies the doctor

    :D

    Hehe.

Well it's up to you lot really- the 13:00 showing seems to be better for people, so I don't mind eating before or after......

Dan, Ven- do you two have any preferences (if you're still coming?)

Just wondering, is it worth me booking the tickets online, or do we take a chance and buy when we go?

Aye. I've been to Big Luke's before (the one near cinema) with my old A-level group. We ate there instead of doing work. Was good fun ;)

Well, this is a curry meet, so I think we should at least check to see if we can get in there first

Having (tried) to read back on this fred, can I just confirm then that we will be meeting at 11.45 (prompt!) at the 'Lukes' curry place (near the cinema) and then heading to the cinema for 1pm? I hope their service is quick - if they are slow, then we may be late for the film....

Do we need to try to meet any earlier to give us that extra time and chance to buy tickets early - or shall we just buy on the door....?

Saying that - Im just wondering how my stomach will handle curry at mid-day.....[face_sick]

I have to say, I'm a bit fussy about certain eating places and Big Luke's doesn't appeal to me (maybe 'cos I'm a lettuce cruncher..!).....plus I don't think I could eat a lot at midday.

If you lot want to go to Big Lukes, I'm totally fine with meeting at the cinema for 12.45pm and I'll grab something to eat elsewhere beforehand (it'll also mean more ice cream for me at the pics! :D)

Spice Bollywood are open 12pm-9pm tomorrow, which I guess would mean we'd have to go there after the film and not before (if we decided on Indian).......?
