    Enough banter, you two...

It just occured to me, that my main interests are investment and films.....

So the logical answer is to put the two together:

    INVEST IN FILMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think when they talk about investing in films, unless you plan to back an unheard of indy writer and director, they're looking for investment in the 100,000s if not millions.

Money is Money, Fampa, it's just like shares there is a buying and selling price and there's a stock exchange, open to the public. Anyone can invest you don't need loads of money.

We own a few properties atm (well the bank does), but it has gotten a bit tight since we moved into one of the townhouses so we could build on our block of land.

Property is always sound, because it will generally never go down. As long as you stick to the right tenets of location and amenities, your tennants will pay for your retirement. Sure I won't retire by the age of 35, but I enjoy work, and my post-work life is set.

If you average one investment purchase a year for ten years. The first ones will be paid off by the time you decide to leave work.

A sound plan but even that can be wiped out from under feet before you know if you are not careful. Natural or even man made disasters comes to mind.

Whilst I feel that insurance is a necesary evil, the only man made disaster I really fear is the feral tenant. Insurance will only cover up to so much from that type of disaster.

I refuse to lose money to real estate agents to manage my property we do it ourselves. It takes alot of time but the money is yours and you have greater access to your properties. You also have to be very au fait with the RTA and your rights.
