ForceFest '05: deadline has passed - see you in Radium!

come camping in Ontario.

 

I will never return to rural Ontario, I like my blood where it is. I've never seen misquitos who didn't react to Deet before. I'm not talking the 15% stuff either, I had the 98% deep woods stuff and they just kept coming.

 

there are no blood suckers in my back yard, just room for lots of tents.

Nothing yet. I still have to make those calls.

Regardless, the location has been 99% decided.

Canyon Hot Springs, which is near Revelstoke, BC.

Is anyone from B.C. Confirmed 100% that they are coming? No sense driving all the way over there if we are the only ones...

 

That's what I need to call about.

I just can't tonight because something extremely important is happening so I need to keep the phone line free as much as possible.

 

do you think you'll know by friday so we can fill in the calgary people while we're there?

 

I shall endeavour to try, however, don't expect any info before 6:00 tonight.

 

I should also mention the deadline:

All persons wishing to attend ForceFest '05, should know 100% for sure if they can make it no later than: July 1st

We need to start planning things like the kitchen and the number of sites/tents/etc. so if you don't know by then, then hopefully you can make it to '06.

The location is still under discussion, but as soon as I know then you'll know.

 

I haven't received much (any) feedback on this, so I'm going to use my powers as the guy who came up with the idea and just say it's going to be in Radium.

Now Radium is another federal campsite (specifically, the place we're aiming for is called Dry Gulch) which doesn't take reservations, meaning that some of the members from Edmontooine are going to need to head down half a day to a day early to get and hold sites. That being said we're going to need to know HOW MANY.

The deadline to say you're coming is Canada Day (this friday) so if you're name is not on this list then you'll have to speak up before then.

Radium is a long ways away from the Okanagan...

 

Well, we looked at the map and tried to find somewhere that was about the same distance for both. And as we had no one confirmed from BC and were hoping to intrest people in Calgary, we picked Radium.

I am planning on starting things much earlier next year so you'll have plenty of advance notice. It'll likely be the same dates next year as well, so mark your calendars and hope to see you there.

 

You started plenty early this year man, and things were as organized as they could be. People just didn't get back to you regarding it... Nobody seems to be willing to travel at all or make compromises.

 

Yeah. I would have liked to have started a lot earlier and had a location locked down, but C3 kinda intruded on that, and a little movie called Episode 3

 

Kinda hard to lock down a location when you don't know who is coming...
