Looks good. I already know how I'm going to vote.

 

Hmmm...I don't know about "Union". It's a cute story but pretty thin. Plus it has a lot of EU characters in it a casual reader wouldn't know (I didn't the first time I read it). Maybe as an "extra credit" discusion for February?

"Crosscurrent" sequel? Ugh.

"Shadow Games"? I had to look this one up and I'm totally down with this. Han AND Dash sharing the same book? Oh yeah!

 

So, some books you like and some you don't-- that's why we vote

Speaking of, I can post polls again! A little search of the small print: one can only have 5 polls open. Even if a poll is "over" the boards see it as open. There is a "manage my polls" section on "my board info" page. After I deleted all five of mine, I can once again flood the boards with polls.

Echo-3, you may want to jot that down, as I am sure people will get frustrated when they try to make their sixth poll.

Awesome Jammies, you can post polls again, and not being able to have more than five polls open at a time is a very good discovery. I don't think any of us knew about that one. Can't wait for the new polls to come out. We'll get all of our books for the year, voted upon at once. Cool!

Aside: Does anyone have the old Young Jedi Knights kids books (all 14 of them)?

I decided to re-read the FOTJ books before I finish LOTJ next year. Then, I decided to go ahead and reread the NJO. Then I decided to go ahead and read the YJK books but ebay and amazon are a little crazy.

For December, we will be reading and discussing Dark Empire. Zannah dear, do you know what the date for that is?

Yes my darling.. O.K. gang, our next book club meet up is set for: Friday December 3rd. I'll get the complete 2011 schedule up, when we've finished voting on all reading material for next year. And I don't mind saying, that I'm excited about our up coming reads, they all look spectacular! You gave us some very good choices my Jammies! Judging from the formats, there just hasn't been any way to go wrong.

 

Looks like I'm going to miss this one (working )I'm interested to hear what the book club thinks of "reading" a graphic novel. Fill me in on the discussion later!

 

I can't make the date either (which bites, this is my favorite thing. Well, one of them). I will be helping my Sister put up decorations for my Momma's surprise birthday party (Shhh!). Not sure why we thought surprising a 75 year old woman was a good idea.

Zannah, would it at all be possible to change this to that following Monday?

The following Monday? That will be Monday December 6th, and it absolutely works for me and Bane. So everyone is good with Monday, then Monday it is.

 

Monday works for me. Usual 7PM start time?

 

My clone and I will be there at 7:00 on Monday.
