So NV Galaxies LAN party???

...since work has slowed down a little I was thinking about maybe getting those together that purchased Galaxies and play in one of my computer labs. Or even play something else.

The AutoCadd lab has 25: P4 2.2Ghz with 256MB DDR and Geforce 4 Ti 4200. and UNLV has a T3 line, at night it's only about 3% saturated so we might be able to defeat the LAG

I'm such a geek too...

 

I want to play.. I dont have galaxies, but I will be there to watch, and play online other stuff...

...Another option is to have everyone bring their computers to my house to play, then we can have a party at the same time, so those who aren't geeky enough to own SWG can occupy themselves with something else IE: PS2...

but I don't know, that may be too much going on at one time, maybe we should make it two seperate parties.

...Ok as it stands after this weekend I'll have Unreal Tournament 2003 and Star Wars Galaxies installed in one of my computer labs. So those of you who don't want to play galaxies or don't have it can waste each other on Unreal. If there are any other requests IE: JK2, which was requested by Galaxy, and enough people will play It I will install that also. But to keep my image size down I'd like to only install games that I know we'll play, or someone will play. So If SWG and UT2003 aren't your games but you still want to come to the lan party, please list what games you'd be interested in playing.

Just for reference, there are 23 computers that are available so if you'd like to invite someone else that's fine.

said lab is located in the School of Architecture Building at UNLV on the corner of Tropicana and Maryland Parkway. The semi-confirmed date is July 11th 2003 at 8:00pm

Things to bring: Money for pizza, or any food or drink of choice, as long as it's non-alchoholic. Earphones: I don't have speakers and my headphone pile is limited. If you have a special mouse/keyboard/joystick we can put that on too if you'd like.

Hardware Specs: Pentium 4 2.12 GHz 256Mb DDR Ram, Geforce 4 Ti 4200.

I've played the Galaxies beta on these computers and it runs great. Unreal runs flawless at about 80 FPS. But if you have some super system that you'd like to bring that's also allowed.

 

If anybody is playing online this weekend (27/28/29), what server will you be playing on?

P.S. I am moving to Las Vegas this Sunday (for two months, then going to Henderson at Anthem), so can I be an official member?

23 Pentium 4 2.14 GHz computers with Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128mb ram video cards, and 256MB on board DDR RAM. 19" monitors and optical mice.

and a High Definition projector...

All computers will Have Galaxies, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Jedi Knight 2 for those who don't want to play Galaxies. So you really don't NEED to bring anything except headphones because I don't have any speakers. If you don't have headphones I can accomodate some of you but I only have a few pair avaialable.

For those that don't want to phisically be there we encorage you to try to be online that night so we can get some group XP going.
