Hi there. Due to the rising adversity between member and moderator, I think a step should be taken to reaquaint ourselves as a Community. As an act of positive interaction, I've invited all of the JC admins, past & present, to post on this thread and introduce themselves, tell us a little about their experiences as admins, and hopefully we'll all get to know each other a little better. I encourage everyone to say 'hi'.

I've been a SW fan since I was five years old when I saw ROTJ at the theatre. I enjoy spending time with my wife and little baby girl. I have a kitty with a furry, white, smelly tummy. The first website that I surfed on was TFN. I'm also an admin over at FanForce. I work for the cable company babysitting big machines and computers. I eat at McDonalds religously. I look like Jeff Goldblum's character in ID4.

Hi. I have been an admin longer than anyone, and for a long time, I was pretty much alone. I used to have the power to make folks admins on a whim, and several admins owe themselves to that whim. At one time all admins bowed before me, obedient to my instructions, mindful of my advice. My word was law. And it was good.
But alas, I have fallen from my lofty perch to be just one amongst a myriad of rabble, replaced by the outsider known as darht cleo. But fear not, I lay in hiding, lurking, plotting until the day I may rise again and one day bring my tyrannical benevolence back to rule the JC!

I've been a SW fan since I got my first 2 action figures when I was 4. They were Chewbacca and C3PO. I'm finally graduating with my BA in history, and am working on a fan-fic story and my paper for admittance to Grad School. I also work part-time for the local water purveyor. I became an Admin. in Sept. last year, but stepped down because I have too many other things going on right now (moving into house shortly, graduating, getting married, starting Grad. school) and I don't have time. Perhaps someday I will again. As for my experience as an Admin., I always tried to see other perspectives, because I have observed that the majority of problems here come from people who can only see their side of a situation. As such, I kind of became seen as the Admin. diplomat, and some of the other Admins. probably didn't always appreciate what I had to say about them, but always appreciated the fact that I could eventually get people to see the points the Admins. were making. It didn't always work, but sometimes did. Right now, I am pleased with the job that the current Admins. are doing. They are good folks, and I have seen some of the older Admins. posting more, and that is nice to see too.

 

You know, tonyf, I probably couldn't beat you in terms of... gut dimensions... for some reason, I've wolfed down more junk food than anyone I know in real life has, and I'm not fat. Not one bit.

Epic, you need wait no longer.

I am still around, actually--I'm usually here an hour or so a day, at least. But I tend to lurk unless I have something that I really want to reply to--and most of what I really want to reply to ends up in the literature forum, so I'm rarely spotted outside of those areas.

Anyway... I've been having problems with my modem as of late (I'm logging on from my laptop at the moment), and as soon as that's repaired, I'll probably be spending more time on JCN. I know you're all just dying with anticipation.

Unfortneantly work is being ruff on me lately so I'm not around as much as I used to be but I still poke around. I am probably best known as being the Admin who can not spell. There are many theories as to why i was made an admin, among them are that I bribed the admins with cheese, to stop having me make fun of them, figuring that I would stop trying to convince Hathor to ban Pb, and that they couldn't make my siemes twin, Captain Antillies, a admin and not me.

Um anything else that is uninteresting and you don't really care to hear about me. Um, I stilll think that stuff sucks, um...Hello, fgr???

Oh and the reason I registered was because Darth Ludicrous(a lowly member at the time) worte somtething that was wrong and I felt compelled to correct him. He'll deny it but that was really what happened.
