Lit If Palpatine or Darth Vader were ever captured what could they be charged with?

They have a chance to capture if u just use the movies but EU oh hell no.

 

The EU actually has Vader captured by the Rebels - in The Force Unleashed II.

Though he must escape "offscreen" since he's on the Devastator in A New Hope a short time afterward.

 

I choose to ignore Force Unleashed personally.

There's a funny scene in the otherwise horrible "American Werewolf in Paris" during which a police officer finds the protagonist post-rampage. He promptly arrests him while the bodies are carried away.
