I thought Western Canada had long since decided on a target for derision, and that was Ontario (pronounced Toronto). IS this no longer the case? dammit, I never get the memos!

Ah, well. We all know that west to any Maritimer and the "dear sweet" folks in Quebec and Ontario means: Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Ever watched the news and weather when you're back east? B.C. doesn't seem to appear on their map! Guess we definitely qualify as "The Rim"!

 

Well if you guys don't appear on the map then you're in the unknown regions. We're the outer rim.

 

We get bc on our news all the time in Ontario, we all know about the pig farm, the drugs, the high percentage of asian gangs.... Stanley Park, the Canucks we are not as clueless as you might think..... (of course, mayhaps i just pay more attention being a displaced Westerner meself.)

Ah, but the Wet Coast doesn't end with Vancouver, ducks... You are in the Victoria forum now... mwa ha ha! Here we have a flower count in February! Actual holiday parades! The lowest rain and highest sun ratio in the temperate zones of Canada! A modicum of polite annual snowfall (which means it closes schools for a day or two, interferes with traffic only moderately, and departs just before we get tired of dealing with it)!... Truly this is The Blessed Isle. We all are not surprised y'all wanna invade. And you're welcome to try, but keep in mind, we've got you surrounded... by land.

ERM been to Victoria, lived about 5 min from the island ferry.... high tea and all that.

Very nice, if you like being surrounded by aging ex-pats. oh and being soggy.
