Should everyone write tutorials, or maybe notes to add to the standing tutorials to add to them?

Just a reminder to all you slackers who haven't sent me your clips yet - time is running out. You people know who you are, you now you can't hide.

Chances are i wont be able to get my clip in since the footage change. Ive taken on a lot more responsibilities on some projects im working with so I just dont have time to re-rotoscope everything.

Good bit of forward planning there sinsister :p The clip is on it's way.

Jace, StupidFilms sent in a clip, but the file is corrupted (it plays three frames and then crashes my machine - every time) so I just need a new clip sent through.

EDIT: Sinsister, The filesize exceeded your mailbox limit. The clip is uploaded and can be downloaded from here

This is my final update, I now have 10 (that's right count 'em TEN) entries in the sabre competition, so we are good to go. We're just waiting on sinister and then I'll upload the clips and post the thread. It should be really interesting as I pretty well guarantee there won't be a runaway victory.

Sinister you'd better be rotoscoping right about now or you'll miss the boat :p

Look for the thread sometime over the weekend. Voting will last for a week.

    Hey, Daft...

I've been lurking around, and when you posted the "bare" clip, I downloaded it and began working on it. i've just completed the rotoscoping (photoshop), and i was wondering if it was too late to submit. can you PM or E-mail me with a couple directions:
how to get it to you
    max filesize
    preferred format

sorry for the last-minute nature of this, i literally did all of the rotoscoping in the last 2 hours. I'm heading to a night class as i type, but I'll be back in about 4 hours, at which time i can upload, if you're interested in a late-comer.

I'm pretty sure you can. They said the deadline was Friday, and today's Thursday (unless it's some kind of midnight Thursday thing or something).

    Darth Foole,

Send away. Just to confirm, the 'bare' clip ISN'T the one with the bluescreen background is it? You need to rotoscope the second one against the CGI background...

[face_laugh] yeah. Imagine someone having to do the clip twice...

I have just received a clip from 'Will Fuller' but the file was so corrupted it crashed my machine every time I opened the email, let alone played the clip, so I deleted the email. Sooooo, if Will Fuller reads this, please PM me and we'll work out another method of sending through the clip.

There will be a new thread created here in the Theater forum. Hopefully it will be pretty obvious which one, as there will be a poll symbol next to it.

"yeah. Imagine someone having to do the clip twice... "

Stave had to. He rotoed the bluescreen clip pretty early on and then, once the CGI background clip came out, it was a different scale and he couldn't size his composition to match it. If it lined up in one place, it was messed up in another. No way around it. So he rotoed it again.
    Now that's some dedication.

You laugh at me, but doing it is not all that funny.

Neither is deleting your project files after your TOLD your ALL SET. =P
