I spent my entire morning thinking up casting for Legacy. It's incomplete, but here's what I've got so far:

    Cade Skywalker- Josh Holloway
Deliah Blue- Jewel Staite (What? I like Firefly!)
    Darth Krayt- Jeremy Irons
    Gar Stazi- Patrick Stewart
Darth Talon- Freema Agyeman (No reason, just thought it'd be cool.)
Darth Nihl- David Tennant (He looks the part, as far as I'm concerned.)
    Darth Stryfe- Ron Perlman
Roan Fel- Michael O'Hare (Tentative. I like what I've seen of this actor, but I'm unsure of how well he'd do as Fel.)
    Marasiah Fel- Ann Hathaway

The biggest difficulty is coming up with someone to play Nyna Calixte/Morrigan Corde. Mainly because I decided that she has to be British, which rules out my earlier choice of Sigourney Weaver.

Hmm. I thought I came up with more than that. Odd.

Actors can fake accents. So Ms. Weaver is just as good a candidate, pending a good English accent.

What is it with everyone choosing Jeremy Irons to play a baddie? He has a marvelous voice and mad skills but he excels at Humanity's flaws not being evil. If it were me, I'd cast him as either Talon Karrade or an Imperial that will turn rebel...so he'd have a past, yes...but not beyond hope and he'd survive the tale!

Because Irons was born to play Darth Krayt. I am incapable of reading Legacy anymore without his voice ringing in my head.

Visually or based on the character profile I just read I *so* don't see it. His voice is great though.

I don't like all the clipped, refined Brits for Krayt. He's always been such an imposing presence - shrewd mind, sure, but he's also absolutely hulking. He sounds like Keith David, in my brain.

Keith David seems like he'd suit the Vongish look, imposing presence, and also has a great voice. :)

I mean it's clear he doesn't look like Krayt, but there's a quality to the voice - I don't understand putting a voice of pretty regular timbre inside that massive, powerful frame.

Yeah. I don't see a refined voice for Krayt. Refined, if imposing, presence perhaps, but certainly not voice. I always imagine him using Clint Eastwood's gravelly old-man voice.

    Hey there. Popping in here to say something;

Either Ellen Paige or Rachel Leigh Cook as Jaina.

    Ok, bye...

    I might be back... [face_peace]

Clancy Brown. That's who he sounds like to me. Clancy Brown. Or Ron Perlman. Yeah.

Haven't you ever seen Die Hard, Dead Ringers, or the Lion King? He excels at evil.

Nathan Fillion - Dash Rendar or Han Solo if Harrison Ford isn't available!
    Patrick Stewart - Gilad Pellaeon
    Christina Hendricks - Mara Jade-Skywalker
Ellen Page/Summer Glau - Jaina Solo
    Sean Bean - Corran Horn

NelanisGhost: As a matter of fact, I have seen all of those Irons films and several more. I don't think he plays outright evil characters often at all. He plays very human, sometimes severely flawed or troubled characters. In Dead Ringers Bev and Ely (sp) were tragic characters. Simon was crafty, smart but fairly one-dimensional fodder for Willis. Scar was my vocal introduction to Jeremy and is one of my favorite Disney characters ever. He's rejected, lonely, misunderstood, and disgruntled yet very bright. Not keen on the fact he killed big brother though but no one was exactly nice to him, either. I empathize with Scar to a level because I know what it's like to be sidelined/demeaned by family.

It occurs to me that Henry Cavill might make a good Jagged Fel.

    I kno, rite?

Pity we don't see more in the way of Biblical adaptations these days (unless we do and I just don't notice them?). Those books have absolutely cracking stories.

Well I just loved the performances and the universe it was creating on its own, Biblical adaptation aside. Also, being a New Yorker, I was totally loving what they were doing with real life locations. Pity that it was confusing whether or not it was Alt History or a completely different Fantasy World.

    Anyway, yeah, definitely...

I think of Jeffrey Wright for Rostu, I don't know why. I've only seen Wright in three movies (two of which were the Bond flicks where he plays the same character), and Rostu in no way comes across as a Jean-Michele Baskiat type (spelling??), but still, he's who I see in my head when I read anything with Rostu in it.

Ron Glass could also make a reasonable older Lando...

Well first off, Rostu is described as having a darker complexion than Master Windu. Second - and I could be wrong - I think he's described as a young man in Shatterpoint. Third, he's very funny, and Donald Glover is a comedian with pretty good acting chops. Fourth, I mean, he can cut his hair, Cash. (Basquiat, by the way. :p )

Ron Glass would make an excellent older Lando. I think Terrence Howard would make a great recast younger Lando.
