Mamow_Nadon's SW: CCG Expanded Universe Project!

I'm curious how you qualify certain cards as Expanded Universe? I notice some of the cards listed and on your site in that section could actually qualify as Episode 1 or Classis Trilogy cards; Maul's Speeder, Bongo, Maul, Rancor, Dud Bolts Podracer etc.?

Well, there's true Expanded Universe, then there's stuff that appears in the movies but was not made into a card. That's how I classify it.

 

Where does the Holiday Special fit in?

lol @ Obi-Ron. Yeah, that'd be the Expanded Universe. And we'd definatly need to find the General Tarkin's name.

 

Added Luminara Unduli and Particle Beam Cannon to the Attack of the Clones section, as well as a scomp icon to XJ X-Wing in the Expanded Universe section. Will work on General Tarkin (I have a pic idea), Infinity, and Lumpy next.

 

I thought it was Tarkin when he was younger.
I just edited a image of him from a swccg card, gave him a dark redish-brown uniform, and made his hair darker. Just leave it as General Tarkin.

Mamow, you can make what you'd like with respect to cards. Yet, I'm not quite sure why we're duplicating effort with respect to cards being developed for the AOTC's expansions in the other thread. Cards such as Luminara Unduli (already in Geonosis) or even a potential AOTC Geonosis card like the Particle Beam Cannon would be a great card idea_suggestions for 2ndQuests project.

A suggestion would be to keep this thread "strickly" Expanded Universe. I would suggest that we try and encourage potential AOTC expansion cards be submitted in the other thread.

Added Lumpawarrump to the Expanded Universe section.

I was working on the Infinity, but I realized that it was going to take a while (I had to italicize each letter), so I did Lumpy instead. I'm going to do General Tarkin next, and save the Infinity for a rainy day. *looks outside and sees how ironic his words are*.... *sigh*....

And from now on, I'll post my AotC cards in 2ndQuest's thread.

Yup. I made Lumpy a while ago, so I don't recall where I got the picture.

 

Added General Tarkin to the Expanded Universe section. Next up: Infinity and Tatooine Landspeeder.

 

You should see if you can find a picture of a young Peter Cushing for the Gen. Tarkin card! It may not be the same Tarkin, but that would be a nice touch, I think.

 

I just found General Tarkins first name. His name is Ranulph Tarkin.

 

Curious where you're getting the artwork (graphic) pics, Mamow? Are they scan's from comics? Personally, I'm more of a screen capture (movie pic) person myself. Seems to me there is always the option to find generic characters and use them as characters for the cards. Could always use uniforms (bodies form the film) and digitally edit the new head on the character. Seems easier finding "quality" pics from E1 and E2, however, than from the Classic Trilogy.

I've got enough to keep me busy in the other thread, but I might get tempted.

Unfortunatly, R'bolt, one of the main themes of the Expanded Universe set was the use of illustrations. Sorry. But it'd still be great if you could photoshop a couple of pics!

But to answer your second question, the pic is a scan of Tarkin from The Essential Guide To Planets And Moons, with wrinkles and all Imperial insignia removed, and colored by me.

In other news, I had a lot to do today (ironic, isn't it, being Labor Day?), so the Infinity will be up tomorrow... but nothing else until the day afterwards, because I have a 3 hour marching band practice tomorrow night... bleh... guess that's what you get for being one of the top 5 (if not best) bands in the state...

 

Sounds like you get you share of exercise. Whewww! 3 hour practice. Bet your band is awesome to watch.

And thanks for the clarification on the Expanded Universe illustration issue. I used to read the books pretty religiously, but stopped with the Jedi Order books for the most part. Didn't like the idea of their killing off Chewbacca!

Added the Infinity to the Expanded Universe section. I'll try to get Tatooine Landspeeder in today, but probably won't be able to. After that will come Deep Sea Sando and all those starfighters I was talking about.

 

The impossible has been done! Added Tatooine Landspeeder to the Expanded Universe section! Now it's off to my band practice.... see you guys tomorrow! (is going to be tired when he gets back....)

Added Mars Guo and Voxyn to the Expanded Universe section.

Also, I've got the beginnings of a cardlist worked up. I'll reveal it later.

 

Some notes about Voxyn.

1) The picture on the cover of Star by Star is a voxyn, so you could change the picture to that.

2) According to pages 209 and 210 of Star by Star, voxyn becoe even more ferocious when near a ysalamiri.


I like what you have, but it isn't perfect.

 

Oh. Then I have been envisioning the Voxyn wrong for a year. Thanks for the heads-up.
