OOC: Quick interim update for Xan and Ramza. Still working on others, should be more available Monday or so. May also contain details of interest to the more ... conspiratorially-minded among you. ;)

    Robert Saruwatari

    Warren Buffett University, Omaha, USA
    Earth

“Right here, sir,” came the modulated, calm voice, followed closely by movement from the doorway. Two dress-uniformed types strode into the office.

Not Fleet was Robert’s first impression. At least, not fleet per se. Not only were the uniforms more drab, but they were considerably more pragmatic in design and had a definite look of armour padding to them. And even standing straight, the men who’d walked in didn’t have quite the bureaucratic, ramrod correctness in their posture that an administrator did. Not overmuscled; wiry. Eyes that picked out all the significant details of a room. The two men from Alliance Fleet had a coiled look to them. The kind of look you made room for on a sidewalk, or in a bar.

Sandrigal had turned from Robert, eyes widening enough to engulf singularities, hands jerking towards his chest. “You followed me here?”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Irsabhan, but our orders contained the words ‘as soon as possible.’”

Light sparked off an alphanumeric insignia – N7 -- on the first one’s chest as he turned to Robert. “Doctor Saruwatari? Major Adam Grant, Fleet Marine Corps. This is Lieutenant Daniel Leonetta. Sir, I’m going to need you to gather your things and come with me right now.”
“You can’t do this!” Sandrigal’s performance was heading for the soprano range. “I can’t replace him here on short notice—”
“As I said, Mister Irsabhan, we’re under direct orders from Alliance Fleet Command. Sorry to make a hole in your roll call, but we need the doctor yesterday. Wouldn’t be here otherwise.”
“Fleet also is a military arm of the Alliance,” countered Sandrigal. “Doctor Saruwatari is not subject to the military chain of command. He is on. Contract. To this university. And you have no authority to remove him without my say-so!”
Grant looked at the Departmental Head for a long moment. Then silently tapped at his omnitool. There was a small ping from Robert’s datapad.
Grant let the omnitool fade into nothingness, looking back up at Sandrigal. “Fleet figured you might say that. Doctor Saruwatari, you’ll recall your status as an inactive officer of Alliance Fleet as a condition of Alliance funding for your PhD. I’ve got the wording here if you need to view it again. Either way, under Regulation 240A12 of the Emergency Reaper Defence Act of 2186, your inactive status is now active. There’s a message in your inbox to that effect right now. Congratulations on your commission to the rank of lieutenant as of right now. And since, as a lieutenant, you’re now subject to the Fleet Disciplinary Code, I might mention that refusing a superior officer’s order carries ten years in the stockade on Phobos. Fleet Command is ordering you to report for duty – with us -- right now.” He glanced over at Sandrigal. “Anything else?”

    Aleria Ventaris

Alliance FLTCOMSOL (Fleet Command, Sol) Divisional Headquarters,
    Sydney, Australia, Earth

The captain glanced at Admiral McKittrick again, but the Admiral’s lips had twitched upward in a smile. “Good. Honest when you don’t know jack. If we’d had more of that attitude back during the war, less of us might’ve died.” He leaned back in his chair. “And under normal circumstances I’d agree entirely with you. It’s all Terminus government out there. No coordinating force. Not to mention they’re on the far side of the galaxy. And they’ve got fifty thousand Quarian ships next door, as well as Geth fleets, if anybody over there decides to get big for their boots. Under normal circumstances.”
“Well, two of us sitting with a Fleet admiral isn’t normal circumstances, so…?” Jeymes smiled winningly.
The captain glowered at him. “Knock it off, wiseass.”
Captain,” snapped McKittrick. He looked at Jeymes. “Look, let’s skip the cute, all right? You know just as well as I do that I can’t give you all the details. For operational security.”
“Oh, come on, Admiral.” Aleria had come to expect this level of familiarity from Patterson. Most likely it came from a surfeit of options: Jeymes’ family owned at least six separate industrial complexes in the endless sea below Io’s ice crust, and Jeymes was the second son. Even if the Director himself personally busted Jeymes for the dart damage done to their office wall, Jeymes would hit his mid-life crisis with ten zeroes on the balance digit in his bank accounts. It was only in stories that you expected such a man to be a personable human being, but somehow Jeymes managed it. Her office partner smiled. “We’re both Earth-based. Unless a batarian frigate somehow manages to dip in here past the Guardian at the mass relay and makes off with us as slaves, there’s no prospect of us winding up in another species’ hands.”

His smile faded as the silence following lengthened. “Is there?”

McKittrick tapped his unmaimed hand on the table. “Something’s come up in the Pylos Nebula. We’re hearing about a lot of pirate activity in the sector – successful pirate activity, even against decent opposition in the Terminus. Quarian sources are telling us they’ve razed three colonies in the space of four months.”
“Before or after a Guardian fleet was in there?” asked Patterson. Straightforward enough question; major fleet actions were almost a thing of the past thanks to the insectlike ships – one of which hovered at Sol’s own mass relay.
McKittrick hesitated for a moment. Admirals didn’t hesitate. “According to our sources, three Sovereign-class vessels have been there for three months.”

Patterson leaned forward, slowly. “Ah, I must’ve misheard you, Admiral. Because if you said what I think I heard, you’re saying that a pirate gang managed to evade three Reapers. In one sector of space. For a length of time equivalent to about half the Reaper War.”
Admiral McKittrick turned towards the captain sitting by him. “Captain Bridger’s command is the cruiser Warsaw. Her escort frigates are Arcane, Antelope, Athens, and Aurelius. They’re at the Lagrange Mustering Platform right now fuelling up. But once they’ve acquired all the other resources they need, she’ll be heading for the Charon relay. We don’t have a lot of time, in other words.”
“Wait a second – Warsaw…Warsaw…” Patterson’s surprised look had been replaced with keen interest. “Oh. As in, Warsaw, HSV-4? That one?”
Aleria might not have been familiar with the Warsaw by name, but she and pretty well every other Alliance Intel type knew the acronym HSV. It stood for Heavy Stealth Vehicle. That was, one of four cruisers in the Alliance Fleet equipped with large-scale versions of the stealthing technology that had served the original SSV Normandy so well. And if so, odds were on the cruiser’s flotilla of support frigates similarly would have ‘SV’ somewhere in their names as well; not much point having an invisible hand if the fingertips were all painted red.
“One and the same,” said McKittrick. “Look, thanks to ever-loving Council Code, we can’t implant neural shunts on people while they’re inside Citadel space. So most of the fine detail I really can’t tell you right now. ”
“I’m not surprised,” said Jeymes. All hint of smartass was gone. “Sorry about the earlier crap, Admiral. I can see why you’d want an amnesia button on anyone you send on a job like this.”
“I can tell you this much. I asked you down here because if you choose to join Captain Bridger on the Warsaw you’ll both be asked to do something dangerous – Miss Vendaris especially. I can’t tell you what that task is going to be, or where. But I don’t think you need to be an analyst to figure out it’ll be a long way from safe harbour or support other than what the Warsaw’s task force can provide.”

McKittrick folded his hands together, maimed fingers clasping whole ones. “Look, you’re theoretically not in a chain of command that I can just tell you to do this. Frankly even if you were this would still be volunteer, and I don’t ask anyone to put themselves into this sort of danger unless I do it face to face. Even so -- I can tell you if it’s not you, it’ll be a hell of a lot harder. And the implications are large. Very large, if our suspicions turn out correct. No pressure.”

    Name: Mars Pavilion
    Species: Human
    Occupation: Unemployed
    Equipment: Pistol
Brief Biography: Mars Pavilion was a soldier for the United North American States during the invasion of Earth by the reapers. His unit was tasked with combatting the reaper invasion in New York, but the commanding officer was killed along with half the unit. Mars took control of the remainders of the unit and focused on evacuating the city, establishing covert routes for citizens to follow. In these missions, Mars saw a large amount of death, but was hailed after the war for being an incredible soldier during the trying times as he recovered other remnants of units, forming a large army under his lead, and was responsible for thousands of lives being saved.
After the war was over, Mars served 3 more years for the UNAS and achieved the rank of Colonel before retiring. He travelled to the Citadel and earned a job as an advisor to the Human Representative of the Council. His prowess and determination was recognized by other races on the council and recently he has come upon consideration as a possible spectre candidate. He has quit his advising job, as to not appear bias, and currently resides on the Citadel.

Anura's smile tightened slightly, and became ever-so-slightly colder. "Well," she began. "It's always good to know a man who doesn't think that he has a problem. Tell me Jasper," a blue nimbus played around her right hand momentarily as she stretched it out, idly pulling one of the glasses of water on the nearby table towards her. "With your hectic career schedule recently- we are all aware of the quantity of films you have been playing in since The Last Flight- have you had many chances to visit Earth of late; family? Friends?" She took a sip, giving the casual impression of a woman waiting patiently for an answer.

At the Serpent Nebula Mass Relay,
    Citadel Space

The gola listened, but offered no comment to her remarks. “And yet, in some way, humanity is preserved within me, just as those who were once Reapers preserved sentient species within themselves. And it is true that were it not for humanity, the cycle would have continued.” For a second, it let those remarks hang there.

“I digress,” it said after a moment. “I have called you here because you are required for a task. You are to be my emissary. There is a species on the world of 2181 Despoina. A species this form encountered ten years ago—the species that created the Guardians. It called itself Leviathan.” The gola regarded her impassively. “Ten years since this form encountered them, and nothing has been heard since then. The world they inhabited was an ocean planet, covered in wrecks of starships that attempted to find them, I would presume. The Leviathan would disable any ship that passed too near or attempted to find them. We have not returned to that world, not for fear of reprisal, but for fear of alerting the species of the galaxy to our creators. I would know the Leviathan’s intentions. It may be they are merely concealing themselves, or they may have left … but I believe if they have indeed left, they will have left some trace that we may read which the other species of the galaxy may not.”

The gola laid a hand on Cira’s forehead, and a blast of information surged through her like the major key of a song. “You will go to Despoina, in Sigurd’s Cradle. In secret; do not go there directly from the Citadel and do not announce yourself for an agent of the Guardians. You will have such monetary resources as required to make your way there. On the planet, you will find where the Creators have gone, and find them. When you have found them, you will deliver a message – that the Intelligence extends its hand to them in friendship, that their perception of Shepard was correct. Is there more you would know?”

    G-VI

    Aite Orbit, Pylos Nebula

As OP-12 headed for the rear of the ship, G-VI was studied the Telgar’s consoles. More fire thudded around their ship, and Ozy’dias slammed the Telgar into a hard dive. The rear shields screamed. The Quarian levelled out again, whipping the ship into a spin that the antigrav compensators almost made up for.

This had been just a routine mission. Over the ten years since the Reaper War, the Quarians had taken their peace with the Geth seriously. G-VI, Ozy’dias and OP-12 were a fairly representative crew of many hundreds of survey vessels and explorers that now plied the spacelanes of the Terminus Systems and Geth Space, working to discover so much of the civilisation they had lost over the past three hundred years. This was essential, at least from the Geth’s point of view: if, as would eventually have to occur, the Quarians eventually discovered the location of the Geth Sphere presently under construction, they would have to be prepared for the enormity of that phenomenon. It was said (by some of the more gossipy programs, to be certain) that some of the Primes themselves were considering speaking to the Fleet Command and broach the Sphere’s existence.

Which made G-VI’s (and others like it) mission so much more crucial. If they were not to fall into cataclysmic war with the organic species of the galaxy, they had to understand them better – and understand what led the unit called Legion to sacrifice itself to make them individuals. So G-VI had been teamed with a Prime – OP-12 – and the Quarian, Ozy’dias vas Shayira, to go on scanning patrols of this part of the Terminus Systems. Ozy’dias was a young, impetuous Quarian – he’d matured in the years after the Reaper War, but in their few voyages together his synaptic responses had proven optimal and therefore of value to the mission (at least, that was how OP-12 had put it, with perhaps a hint of digital levity.)

On the other hand, that mission was presently in jeopardy. G-VI’s hands flew over the Telgar’s consoles, pulling power from unrequired locations and reassigning it to ECM. Success: three inbound missiles scrambled themselves and flew off into the eternal darkness. Clunks and thuds issued through the vessel – OP-12, magnetising himself to the outer hull after getting out of the airlock.

“Hold a second—” The Quarian’s voice was confused. “They’re pulling back.” And so it seemed. The three contacts on LADAR were turning; running. The fire against them had ceased.

    Silence, for a long moment.

“So this is where you,”--Colonel Jerneau glanced around--“live?”
He hadn’t sat down. Alliance dress blues were notoriously tricky to clean. The little Frenchman’s right hand gently clasped his hat under his arm; the left was resting at the small of his back. He had the look of a man worried the walls would close in on him suddenly. Citadel apartments in this part of town tended to have that feeling, even the new ones. Not to mention that the apartment was fighting a heroic rearguard action to keep itself clean in the face of a distinct lack of cooperation by its occupier.

Jerneau turned to look at Mars Pavilion when the man didn’t answer. “Was it really necessary for you to leave the service?”

    Mars Pavilion
    -Tayseri Ward, Citadel

The feeling of not having to wake up early and not being burdened by the day's tasks was relieving. His eyes slid open to the darkness that was his room, but the deep blue glowing digital numbers that stared back at him from his ceiling enlightened Mars that it was 6:49. He laid still for a long while, the clock grew blurry after his mind drifted away so he was not sure how long the while actually was. He rolled into a sitting position and placed his feet on the carpet. After yawning and running a hand along the braid that held steadfast to the back of his head, he activated his omni-tool. The yellow light that shined from his hands illuminated his unkempt countenance and wrinkled brow as his eyes adjusted to the glow.

    "Pip, open the visor."

"Opening Window Visors, now sir." The VI responded in its monotonous, though high pitched male tone.

Mars made his way to the bathroom, toes burying deep into the comfort of the carpet. He splashed water on his face and stared in the mirror, as people with troubled pasts tend to do when thinking about how to improve themselves. The tips of his fingers massaged the wrinkles under his eyes before moving to press down on his eyelids. He kept them close until Pip's voice chimed in.

    "You have a visitor, sir."

Mars opened his eyes, gave himself one last stare and then moved toward his wardrobe. "Who is it?" he asked before clearing his throat. He had had a number of visitors since it had been announced publicly that he had become a potential Spectre candidate. Interviews from reporters and bloggers had become regular, though still uncomfortable, and he had a number of military officials that had congratulated him on the job that he did not have.

"Facial recognition complete. Colonel Jerneau of the Alliance."

"Hmm..." The name didn't ring a bell immediately at first. It seemed like a name that Mars had seen on a computer screen before, but that did not help him get a personal attachment to the name. He pulled a black sweater over his head and buttoned his khakis. "Let him in." The door slid open and he heard footsteps enter. "Welcome Colonel." He said without turning around as he grabbed a pair of boots out of the wardrobe.

"So this is where you...live?" The Colonel said as Mars set down on the bed to put on his boots, noticing that the boots were what he would normally wear with his old uniform. Slightly too nice for his current outfit, but nothing that people would notice. He nodded at the Colonel's tone. Yes, this place was rather small, but he was never one for a large house, not that houses were widely available on the Citadel, but there were definitely apartments that were bigger and that better fit one of Mars' former military rank.
"Was it really necessary for you to leave the service?" The Colonel asked.

The questioning tone reminded Mars more of who Jerneau was. They had had dealings when he was part of the Alliance and had occasionally crossed paths after Mars had started working for the Councilor. Mars finished the last strap of his boots and leaned over his knees, interlocking his fingers. "No, not necessary, Colonel. But if I am going to be Spectre, it is...easier to not be seen as a tool for just the humans to use. Not to mention, I will need to get back into combat shape. 7 years has left some rust in these gears."

    "Why do you ask, Colonel?"

Jacques Jerneau had made his way across to the steel shelf which allegedly served as a mantelpiece - one of the few decorative features of the apartment. The Colonel traced a thin finger across the dust-covered plaque surmounting the base of the sole occupant on that mantelpiece. Lady Liberty stood all of twelve inches tall, flaming torch raised as if to illuminate the words engraved at her base: To Mars Pavilion, Our unending gratitude - Mayor Cyrus Bradley, on behalf of New York's children.

The Colonel turned back to Mars.

"They are not making you a Spectre, Mars. No matter what all the glad-handing types are saying. We have it on very good information the Council have already rejected you as a candidate. As for why I am asking -- well, that I cannot tell you all the details. Only that your ... resignation from the service perhaps is more of an opportunity than you might guess."

After all, this little sparring match would continue for some time. She was very good at what she did, that much was clear. She had even tried to intimate him through the use of her biotics. He couldn't recall anyone having used that trick on him before. Nice touch, he had to admit.

"Uh, that depends," he replied cryptically, opting to stay relatively conservative when it came to revealing details. She was trying to play him, after all. "I get there a couple times a year when I can...not recently, though."

He glanced around the studio with a whimsical expression. "It's something to think about once my tour here ends. It'll be an excuse to get back to work."

The Council was not going to approve him and from what Jerneau had let on the decision was one that had been made for a while. In truth, Mars had thought it was quite a shot for him to be considered to be the next human spectre based off duties that he had exclusively performed for the human race. However, it was an opportunity he was hoping for and was let down to see that powers more important than him had already dictated his future.

"How exactly is this an opportunity, Colonel?" Mars asked in a voice that sounded more annoyed than he actually was. It bothered him that the Colonel would come to his apartment, openly display his dissatisfaction with Mars' living quarters, and then deliver bad news. He ran a hand from his brow to the back of his braid and sighed before standing up from his bed. He walked over and stared out of the window.

"No." She said truthfully and looked at "The Intelligence" for a moment. Then she shook her head and slowly turned towards shuttle. Before she entered, she stopped turned to "Shepard" again. "Variations. Are you sure you ended the cycle? Or are we just another variation of it?" She left those words uncommented, as she entered her shuttle once more. The Guardian would know she wanted to leave, would make sure she did and make sure she was save or become aware of a danger which would make Cira aware of it.

The dominance she once felt was gone, yet the will of an ancient creature like this still remained. Cira tried to concentrate on her mission, to ease her mind. 2181 Despoina in Sigurd´s Cradle.

She decided to aquire some seeds.

There were a few agricultural worlds near Sigurd´s cradle, so she would make a stop, sell seeds and then leave there. any presence would be considered that of a trader. From there she would fly to the planet and . . . see if someone crashed her ship. A Leviathan. Cira was aware of them, obviously. As were all Guardians. She was not aware of their vanishing though and that meant she had to bring that knowledge to the Guardian. Wise of Shepard. She understood now why he had been the Reaper´s end. He asked the right questions.

Without any radio or any other unnecessary formalities she started her ship. Leviathans.

Is she insane? Raising a fuss on Omega is bound to get us noticed- oh.

If that was her plan, it wasn't half bad. More people to witness what was going on, more chaos, more movement, possibly more guns. That was the part he didn't like. Tom had a job to do, and he'd get it done as professionally as possible. If this woman was his contact, and this was how she wanted to behave, so be it; he promised professionalism and followed through on it.

The problem was, this entire situation was getting to be a bit much for Tom Hauser. He hadn't been on Omega in five years, and the time before that was during the war. Things had changed, he had changed.

"If it's all the same to the two of you, I have a job to do. I don't want any trouble."

Of course, that wouldn't work. These two were mental.

Unless, of course, one of them was this "Ashen" character.

    "Business with Ashen."

Either the name would get him killed, or get one of them killed; both outcomes were okay with Hauser.

    Robert Saruwatari
    Lazy Bird

Outmaneuvered before the battle had even begun. Sloppy. The younger Robert Saruwatari who had fancied himself the next Sun Tzu, or at least a decent facsimile of Alexander, was probably having a good chuckle at his older self's expense, wherever he was. But being as that older Robert was here, he adjusted his sunglasses. Nowhere to go but down - best to try not to accomodate the spiral.

    “Anything else?”

"Well, two things, really. One: that's an authentic imitation Chinese rug you're all having this spat atop of, it cost me nearly five credits and is basically my go-to method for confusing the undergraduates who don't realize Saruwatari is a Japanese name. Naturally it carries a lot of sentimental value for me. Please be careful. Two: the sunglasses stay on. Three - okay, three things - three: I need another cup of coffee."

Dr. Saruwatari walked over to the coffee machine. "Coffee me," he remarked, and it obliged him with a refill. He took a sip as he gave Sandrigal a look over the top of his glasses - the sort of look that says "I can't believe you let yourself get followed by a couple of glorified tin soldiers you ponce." It was a necessary sort of glance.

No way out. "Right then, gentlemen, lead the way. Dr. Irsabhan, if you could please handle the particulars of this incredibly sudden sabbatical I seem to be in the process of beginning, I'd be much obliged - oh, and the notes on the board there could probably make a decent submission to the Journal, just stick it in one of the paper writing algorithms, nothing fancy." He shrugged in the direction of the soldiers as he kept walking towards the door. "These newfangled digital chalkboards, what with their saving and their research-to-article conversion schemata, can't make hide nor hair of them." He opened the door. "John von Neumann didn't need a digital chalkboard, no way, no how, hurry up gentlemen we mustn't keep the brass waiting, he just sat down and thought really hard and poof! Game theory! Okay, maybe not that easy. It all started at the turn of the 20th century with the Formalist push to turn mathematics into a more rigorous, formally structured field. David Hilbert gave a talk wherein..."

Aleria struggled to keep her neutral expression from morphing into a grin. A top-secret assignment, into Terminus Space, aboard a stealth cruiser? There was no way she was turning this one down, even if it was being given by an admiral who consistently called her Miss and mispronounced her name. Even if the assignment came with brain surgery attached.

(Brain surgery, brain surgery ... was she being tapped for this because she was a biotic? Aleria thought so. There were many other female operatives, most of whom were older than she was - but as far as she knew, she was the only one of the Alliance's few biotics to wind up in Intelligence and not front-line combat.)

Of course they'd already had a very public confrontation, and it was miraculous no one had noticed yet. He wanted to move quickly, get the job done, and get off the damn planet. He had appointments back on the citadel, personal and professional. Well, mostly personal; a series of in-dept therapy sessions and appointments with his care workers. And, yes, a few work meetings. Ideally, nothing more than simple courier jobs for reputable individuals.

It struck him that he wasn't entirely sure why in the hell he'd accepted this job in the first place. Sure, it paid well, but he wasn't exactly struggling financially. He was comfortable, and even his frequent therapy didn't set him back that much. This wasn't the twentieth century, with their positively spartan stance on mental health, after all.

Do I actually like the danger?

    G-VI
    Aite Orbit, Pylos Nebula
As the chosen path of action bore visible results, which pleased most programs, but not all. There was still a 43 percent chance that this was believed to be the wrong course and a request to repoll for a change in activities. Then as the noise reverberated through the ship, obviously not missile impacts from the scanners, indicating that OP-12 had reached the hull of the ship. It was then that an odd thing occured, something that G-VI's programs could not understand. The enemy ships withdrew.

A further indication that an understanding of organics was required to be cultivated. Ozy’dias vas Shayira indicated that the oddity of the ships pulling back, and G-VI had to agree, there was a 99.9 percent consensus to do so. "Yes." they replied to verify Ozy'dias' questioning statement. With a poll of assuarance of 96 percent the programs of G-VI attempted to contact the Prime OP-12 to see if the jamming was lifted, if visual confirmation could be made of the retreat and hulls status, and to broach the question of evasion based retreat from this system. As that was more favoriable by 27 percent to the programs then attempting to finish the mission. Why so many felt that way was not currently a matter a question, although a querry for future commune was posited about the effects of individuallity of programs upon the Geths own behavior.

    Ashen
    Omega

That guy was nervous. Nobody had even drawn a gun, so why was he so worried about publicity? This was Omega after all. You could slice someone in two and people yawned from the sidelines. a hive of scum and villiany, where the galaxies worst savages came to do business. Like Ashen. Or Mr. Still-learning-how-to-bluff.

"Well, how alive he get´s lost is up to him, courier. But we will loose him, I assure you that." Ashen hissed and took a qucik look around the corner to see what the other man was doing. Then she checked the environment for the next elevator. There was a hard way out of this and an easy way. She was ready for both.

Jasper shifted and grasped for the glass of water sitting on the table beside him. He should have seen that one coming and yet, he managed to walk right into it. He was starting to over-analyze the situation and it was coming back to bite him in the ass.

He took a long sip from the water and slowly shook his head, indicating a negative response to her question. "Uh, no...nothing like that," he began with a slow drawl, buying his time. "There, uh...there have just been plenty of opportunities elsewhere that I couldn't pass up. But like I said, I intend to return home and take on more film roles...you know, build things up from there."

    Tyrus Blake
    Dock 51, Omega

The plan didn't work. With an Asari as suspicious as this one, Tyrus doubted the alternative would've been a success either. So he paused for a moment, let them have their say, and then spoke aloud as Tyrus Blake, not the eccentric merchant he'd fabricated.

"Fine," he exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the courier but his voice loud enough that it was easily audible to the hidden Asari. "Have your deal. But know that Aria T'loak gets what Aria T'loak wants. And you're in her territory." And with a nod to the courier, Tyrus turned and walked away from the scene. But not to report failure to Aria. He wasn't at that point quite yet.
