Meeting suggestion

Anybody in the Freddy area want to do coffee and talk shop?
This weekend as a first suggestion.

"We are starting another year and as is usual in September we hold the meeting late due to frosh and other events. The Date is September 16 Thursday 2004. October is election time. If anybody feels like being a victim for a year or so please let us know. Please bring some, many friends. Please, Please. The usual spot is the CS Common room: in D level in the ITC building at 550 Windsor St. UNB map

There's usually also a casual get together of a few members of the group at Quizno's/Tingley's Traditions on Dundonald street Tuesday evenings after 8PM. (If you check the FSFS web site, you'll see there's an exception once a month for the Bookcrossing crowd)
I haven't been to one lately, but there's also a bookclub meeting once a month.
A little variety to choose from.

I may have a few friends who are interested...I'll have to check that out...

 

The start of season FSFS meeting is on the 16th of this month. I'll have to check on the times and dates for the other things (book club and the like)

 

I might go...if I don't chicken out...since I've chickened out on going to all the activities at school.

 

If by chance I get the chance to go, you HAVE to go!

It's a casual get together really, and you can just sit and listen if you're shy, but I don't think it'll take long to fit right in.
There's usually a book club meeting on the second Friday of the month, but I'm waiting to hear if that's still on summer vacation. (Reading the book is kind of optional)

 

It does sound like fun. Tara, Ryan and I might be going. It would be great if you could, too! You would know two people, anyways!

I'm not sure if we're going to be able to make it or not. There's been a lot going on recently. Life catches up with us, I guess. Plus, neither of us get off work til 6-6:30. Teh suckful.

Can't make it...as I'm sick...I did make it to class however, but I no choice in that.

It was a fairly short meeting (say 30 or 40 minutes), but it was long enough for me to realize that both Darthtaiter and Grand-Admiral_Stan know a lot more about Star Wars than I do. (Including spoilers for Ep III that they were kind enough not to reveal, thank-you)
We'll schedule another meeting that allows for more time.
Suggestions for time and place are welcome from anyone who can attend.

 

Yeah, the 7:30 was a stretch, because Ryan and I don't get off work til 6:00, and we're an hour and a half away...

Maybe we can plan something for a Saturday?

 

Most any Saturday will work for me.
If we make it Oct. 2nd that will allow enough time for YoungJediNiagara to post an announcement and I should have a saber hilt built by then. (If nothing else it'll make a nice conversation piece.)

As far as I know, Ryan and I are free on Oct. 2. We should plan something for then. Evenings are great. Maybe a movie or bowling or something?

 

October 2nd is good. Say 6PM? (Too early, too late, just right?)
If its a movie, then probably meet for something to eat first in the food court at Regent Mall. (Might be hard to find the other people though unless we all wear a pink carnation )
Any other ideas, or will we stick with this?
If so, then I'll pass it on the CrazyMike.
