I thought we had one before but I couldn't find a thread for Harry Potter in here. Figured I would go ahead and start one. Been wanting to talk about it. I know we have a few fans ((cough))bob((cough))

BUt one of the main reasons I started the thread is I saw int eh San Diego forum that they have released the actual poster for Prisoner of Akzaban:

But I was talking to a friend in Salt Lake City, she met the twins and they said filming for Goblet starts next month, and Ratcliff is still on for it!

If I were to go with a HP costume, I think most of all I'd want to have a Gryffindor Quidditch set of robes and attire....

Oh, by the way, new trailer is released tonight!

I can't wait to see Gary Oldman on the screen again.

Hum, anyone gonna dress up for the Movie? I am sure we could whip up some inexpensive cloaks? when's the movie come out again?

I remember seeing tons of kids in cloak at the opening night of the last-believe it or not I just blanked on Book 2's name argh...

Brother Halo-mine is Prof. McGonagall. I would love to have her clothes. So very nice...

The things I am most keen on seeing in PoA:

1. Dementors. Freaky creepy things.

2. EXPECTO PATRONUM!

3. Gary Oldman as Sirius Black. Too cool of an idea in casting him.

4. Everything else.

Okay, I'm an HP nut.

 

as much as I love Oldman-and I love him immensly, as an actor at least-when I read POA last I still keep seeing Robert Carlise as Sirius instead of Oldman. But Oldman can play the character better I guess.

Dementor's will be awesome! I can't wait to see them either.

 

That was my Legolas Shirt, My costume I'd like would have to be Hermione....not many other options I have until Lily comes back as a Teenager

I am unhappy with Lupin's appearance. To tell the truth, I always saw a mid-80s Mark Hamill! (And he's got that sad, lonely vibe going on that Luke has through the first generation of Star Wars EU too).

I like Gary Oldman too, but I think he looks like a mix of Jeremy Irons and a pirate (YAR!) as Sirius, which is too bad.

I just watched the new trailer... *drool*

WB also updated the HP site with new graphics and new widgets. Very neat stuff. It's fun to use the Marauder's map, too...

saw the tralier last night. i watched the news for an hour last night to see it on TV but nooooo they had to go and show 2 seconds of it and then talk over the whole thing. So i went and dowloaded it, when in the book did Heromine punch Draco?

I think I need to reread the books.

I seriously cannot wait to see this movie. Did anyone watch any of the preview stuff they showed on ABC Sunday for PoA? It's very cool. It looks a lot more dynamic than what Colombus had done with the first two. Alfonso Cuaron looks to have hit a homer with this one...
