That Star Wars background is kind of maddening. I suggest something a little more subtle.

 

yeh, I have to agree with Veers on this one - the background actually made me close the window.

Perhaps try a simple starfield background

 

Not bad. I'm not a proboards fan. I'm with the others that the star wars background is a recipe for a headache.

 

whoa! dancing "STAR WARS". no, seriously, try scrolling up and down quickly on that page... wow.
get rid of that BG, its just annoying and then we can actually find our way around...
aside from that, looks good, what i saw of it...

 

O.k. it is now fixed.

How is it "fixed" if nothing is changed?

Or perhaps you changed something I didn't notice. Please explain.

 

I thought you guys were talking about my background not not category background so I changed the background, and added an affiltates thing and alot more little things that only my members would notice.

[hr]Well, the memeber on my site thought the white background was too plain.. Can never win.

Having said that, i tend to agree. It's hard to read some of the text in some places.

 

Ya, well if I was to change that right not I would not change the image, everyone on the site is too used to it, and it hasen't bothered them.

 

Just curious, how many actual members does your site have? How many of them do you know from real life?

 

2 from real life all the others are from other sites and there is a couple who I don't even know at all.

To be fair, the terrible background isn't visible on the actual thread pages - you can read the text without any problem. However there are no borders on any of the posts, so somethings its difficult to see where one posts ends, and another posts starts.

There has to be something in your admin control panel that will allow you to have a border in between posts, and even for signatures. In phpbb it would be under themes, so I'm not sure what it is in the style you are using.

The problem now is the link you provided, the pics in the signatures look like they are part of the post or just jump out there. It just seems hard to separate the posts as another person mentioned.

 

I"ll keep that in mind.

You have a nice site there.

The only thing I have to say is that I don't think anyone is trying to make fun or your site, or trying to make you mad. I know that when i surf, I listen to my own music, and don't like embeded music distracting from it. Also sometimes a Tiled background distracts from the content, or makes it hard to read. Which is a shame, beacuse you've got some good stuff there.


Keep it up, we can never have too many SW sites.
