    From Goodbye Mr. Chips to Harry Potter, John Williams has composed the music for some 80 films, winning major awards from Hollywood to Great Britain. E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones series, Schindler's List, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Saving Private Ryan are just a few of the movies which owe their moving and memorable soundtracks to Williams's genius. His scores for the Star Wars trilogy transformed Hollywood film music and became icons of American culture.
