Nope. Not in NYC. God, I hope none of the New Yorkers bought it...

My god...Twin Towers, Pentagon...the planes that took down the Towers were hijacked out of Logan.

If there was ever a doubt in my mind about wanting to join the military, it's gone.

I wish I was a little older(and a little less out of shape) and i'd join the AirForce right now.

I can't wait to find out who did it. I want to watch those cowards get their stupid asses kicked.

I hope Mysty wasn't in the area. I also hope none of the FFNY members were there.

Dave, I know what you mean.

The sad part is that a lot of kids were making jokes about it.

If I ever find the cowardly bastards who engineered this, I will personally see to it that I rip them limb from limb.

I know that's asking for a ban, but it's worth it.

And horrifying at once. If we go to war, I wonder if I'll get drafted. Probably wouldn't make it in anyways.

I don't think we will NEED a draft. Victory through airpower, thats what I say.

I wish I was old enough for the service.

I doubt there'll be one. Like I said, I probably wouldn't make it past the physical. I'm fat, have bad eyes...

Your nuts. One of our biggest allys is in the middle east...

I for one was in history at the time. I am really freaked out though. I couldn't sleep last night, and didn't fall asleep until around 3:00. I had a song stuck in my head that kept playing over and over. Then in history I was listening to it on my CD player...

In New York freedom looks like
    Too many choices
In New York I found a friend
To drown out the other voices

    Voices on a cell phone
    Voices from home
    Voices of the hard sell
    Voices down a stairwell
    In New York
Just got a place in New York

In New York summers get hot
    Well into the hundreds
You can't walk around the block
    Without a change of clothing

Hot as a hair dryer in your face
Hot as handbag and a can of mace
    New York
I just got a place in New York

    New York New York

In New York you can forget
    Forget how to sit still
Tell yourself you will stay in
    But it's down to Alphaville

    New York
    New York, New York

    New York, New York
    New York

The Irish been coming here for years
Feel like they own the place
They got the airport, city hall
    Asphalt, asphalt
    They even got the police

    Irish, Italians, Jews and Hispanics
Religious nuts, political fanatics in the stew
Happily not like me and you
    That's where I lost you

    New York
    New York, New York
    New York
    New York, New York

    New York
    New York

In New York I lost it all
    To you and your vices
Still I'm staying on to figure out
    My midlife crisis

I hit an iceberg in my life
    You know I'm still afloat
You lose your balance, lose your wife
In the queue for the lifeboat

You got to put the women and children first
But you've got an unquenchable thirst for New York

    New York
    New York
    New York, New York

In the stillness of the evening
When the sun has had its day
    I heard your voice whispering
    Come away now

    New, New York
    New...
    New York

Actually, though there is no draft now, there could be. As long as Selective Service is in place, there can be a draft.

    I have relatives there.

Damnit! That damn Bin Laden! I am so pissed right now! I would enlist for the Airborne...although it would be tough and there might not be much need.

There's no need for enlistment as of right now. They have plenty of people in the armed services.

Plus, you're 14, they might frown upon that ;)

    Hey all.

First of all: big group hug.

I'm in complete shock. This is absolutely terrible.

Almost all of my Uncles were in NYC today My cousin Micheal was one block from the WTCs and he is not doing very well right now, because he saw the second plane hit and saw bodies falling from the building. His father (my uncle) was across the street from the building. They are both okay, and somehow they managed to find one another on the street outside. But,not knowing where they were and how they were originally was completely terrifying for my family and I.

My other uncle was about thirty blocks away and he saw the whole thing. It took him five minutes to get out of the city cause he was on foot like all the masses that were on TV. He finally got home to Long Island...but he's upset.

So, I guess I just want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that my pratyers are with them. Everyone is going to be affected by this tragedy, regardless of whether you lost a loved one or not.

Sometimes awful tragedies like these remind us about what is really important. So, be sure to tell your loved ones that you love them, because as we foud out today we can loose so many of them in an instant.

I hope you all are dealing with this in your own way and have the support of your families and friends. It really is a tragedy that the whole country is dealing with and I hope that everyone is doing well and that no one lost anyone.

And to Mysty...I can only pray and hope that all your family members, friends...everyone is okay. Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. I can't even imagine how horrifying this must be for you and I hope you are finding support where you need it.

All right all...I'd personally like to bid a goodnight and farewell to this awful day.

Before yesterday, I was the only patriotic person in my family. Now that this has happened my Mom finally bought me a US flag and flag pole to put outside. I've been asking for that for about 3 years now.
Everyone in my family has said between today and yesterday that they are proud to be American, I'm proud of them for saying that.

I(for a couple years now) have had tons of AF posters and 8x10 pics(from when my Dad worked at Edwards AFB) all over my room. I also have a bunch of US flags all over my room.
For some reason, my parents just noticed, weird...
