We already privatize prisons here in the States, and there is nothing at all horrible resulting from this practice. Nice to see the UK going further.

 

I am not in the least bit surprised that they possess this power. I would be surprised if they didn't One can only hope that this actual police force privatization comes with a fraction of the sparkly pants that this sketch has.

Afraid I have to join in on the general "....What?" here. I thought the first Sherlock Holmes film was a lot of fun, but that's the best they've done and it doesn't even hold a drop of wax to the BBC series, let alone a whole candle.

I remember the Punisher 2099 comic Marvel published in the '90s dealt with the privatization of police. The guy who was the Punisher in the year 2099 was a policeman by day, and the Punisher by night, who helped people who were second-class citizens because they couldn't afford police protection.
