Plane Crash in New York

They've closed Disney World.

This isn't just here, is it? You guys said they've closed the London stock market? CNN just reported they're evacuating the NATO building in Brussells....

this is soooo sick. I really am shocked.

it's like a very bad movie come true. on all channels here in Germany it's the same. our president (chancellor) just said if there is an act of revenge, Germany would be on America's side. Whatever that means.

German stock market crashed totally. I lost about 3000 pounds in just a second but that's kinda OK. not that bad as my shock.

 

plane landed in ohio pilot still able to communicate they believe it is part of the hijacking and that there is a bomb on board another possible in colorado as well

 

OMG this really is planned from bottom to top, every detail, isn't it?

 

Yeah. I heard the news at work today but didn't realise the full scale of the damage until I saw the pictures on the tele. Do they know for sure who's responsible?

 

It turns out I know a couple of people who school a few blocks away from the world trade centre. Thankfully they seem okay but everyone is so shocked.

 

It sent a shiver down my spince.

No one will benifit from this in any way what so ever.

 

I'm waiting on news about my cousin, he lives in New York.

 

I hope he's ok.

I feel so bad about this. I can't imagine what it's like over there.

It's only just starting to sink in really. I've never experience something like this before.

 

This has been a bad day for those in America.

I just hope those responsible are reprimanded. And we will not be worried by terrorism again.



Although if the americans had tighten security and actually checked people's luggage better then this would never have happened.

 

Hey all, just a little news from North America to clear up anything that might be confused out there:

- plane hit one of the WTC buildings

- 20 min. later a second hit the other building. caught on tape. sickening.

- a while later a 3rd plane crashed into the pentagon. it hit the ground first, so not as much damage was done.

- the 2nd WTC building that was hit collapsed

- the 1st building collapsed

- plane crashes in PA. was apparently on it's way to Camp David.

 

From what I understand airport security is pretty tight and look at it statistically, how can you hijack 4 planes on the same day in the same country and getaway with it?
There has been a rumor, AND I STRESS IT IS A RUMOR, that the Airline company, i forget its name, may have been ilfultrated.

Mara, I hope your cousin is okay. I should imagine that just living in NY is a terrible thing to do today.

My prayers are with everyone there and with everyone affected by this tragedy.

I've just been watching more of the news and its incredible how these terrorists were able to breach the American security and co-ordinate such an attack. You'd think with all the intelligence agencies in the US, they would have seen this coming. Rightly so the focus now is on saving as many lives as possible, but when the dust settles there's a lot of questions that need to be answered.

 

airport security for flights w/i the US is lax. though i don't think this was a case of guys walking through metal detectors with plastic guns...something more organized.

And I also can't believe the FBI and CIA were caught by this. But, as the IRA said, a terrorist only has to get lucky once...the people fighting them need to get lucky everytime.



I feel very bad right now. I feel like I should be at home, not here in England.

 

I'm still very much in shock...I'm really scared actually.

They used knives and boxcutters on one of the planes at least.

 

I saw on the news this morning the family of one of the victims in one of the planes saying how he phoned them from the Cabin phone telling them if he didnt see them again, he loved them. And that the plane had been hijacked.

It upset me.

 

I found out this morning that my cousin is safe.
I know what you mean MOT's Minx I found that upsetting too, I think the worst thing is that the people in tower2 saw the first one collapse and knew it was going to happen to them.
