Since this is random cahtting......what is a nice rural area in NC to move? I ahve been loking at areas online but I don't really get the feel of teh place when there are no pictures.

 

You might be better served, if you asked us about certain places. We could probably provide you with a bit of info about any place, but there are really ALOT of rural areas around here.

I guess that depends on just how rural you want to get. We range from ultra rural towns consisting of little more than a grocery store and post office with populations in the mid to lower hundreds to modern urban sprawl cities with populations up near the hundreds of thousands. It also depends on what type of geography you prefer (forests, plains, lakes, river, etc).

I was wondering about Roanoke Rapids.
But, really we'd like to live somewhere with less than 60,000 people.I am tired of traffic and backyards so small you can't fit a BBQ. Right now we are sacrificing our sanity and living in a small 2 bedroom with our 3 kids. We are living in the cheapst place in twon to se can save money to move.

 

Well, Nashville is a nice little bedroom town with only about 4200 people. I live about five minutes from Nashville out in the county. Nashville is only a few minutes from Rocky Mount and Hwy 64 runs right through it. You have easy access to Raleigh, I95 and basically anywhere you want to go.

 

True, there, about Nashville. What questions do you have about Roanoke Rapids? Entropy, Fettfan, Aidion, Eris, Barriss, and M-of-SOG could probably answer any question you have of RNRP.

 

This is an insane question I am sure, but is there a Wal-Mart close to there?

 

Roanoke Rapids has a Wal-Mart, as does Rocky Mount. There is rumor that one is coming to Nashville, but many of the local business leaders are trying to get that shot down.
