Yoshee, I may / may not be going to this ( ebcuase of exam timetable) but if i do go, how much in advance do i need to tell you so tickets can be booked.. or do I do it? im confused.

It could probably still happen if people book soon. As other posters have mentioned, the Odeon site was a total **** up. I managed to get 2 tickets in the middle of the circle for the first showing on the 19th. If we book this week, I reckon we'll all get tickets for the first showing on the 21st.

 

Yes, I agree. Something more concrete has to be planned, especially for those of us who have far to travel to make this. The only time I can see on May 21st is 11:55pm...That's going to make it quite difficult for people to get back home -- Both Londoners and outsiders alike.

Tickets seem to be going quickly for the following weekend. The times are:

Saturday, May 28th:
10:30am
1:40pm
11:35pm

Sunday, May 29th:
10:30am
5:00pm
10:15pm

Needless to say, those times are not going to last; I feel that a decision should be made no later by the end of this week as those times are going to be gone sooner rather than later.

 

Just like to point out that (if you decide to meet on that day) the 21st of May is the 25th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back opening.

 

Shame they won't be showing it

 

Well, as I already stated, I need peoples money before I book any tickets. As not only my own previous experience , but also my predecessors experiences have taught me that people always let you down at the last minute. Which is fine unless I've just paid out for someones ticket on the promise that I'll get it back at the meet up, and then they don't show up!

So, Ninja's dates are fine with me, I'm still up for this, but what I need to know is, who is definitly going to attend on one of the above dates?

The other choice is, that we leave it until booking tickets isn't the only way to get to see it.

Thoughts people?

 

I'm very interested. To be totally honest, if I had to pick one of those times, it would have to be the 1:40pm showing on the Saturday.

That way, it will give us plenty of time for people such as myself who have to travel about 120 miles or more to get down to London, find our way to Leicester Square, watch the film, and then chat about it in a pub or something afterwards, and make it back home at a reasonable hour.

That's just my opinion, though.

Speaking of payment, how would you accept the payment. Paypal, cheque?

 

Seems simple - we either decide to go see it on, say, the 28th and book our tickets this week, or we wait until tickets aren't in demand. Personally, i'd go for the first option: i'd like to see the film with you lot while it's still new & exciting.

Early showings are gonna be bad for non-Londoners, late showings are gonna be difficult for pretty much everyone. If we decide quickly on either 28th at 1.30 or 29th at 5.00 and book tickets this week, at least some of us will get to meet up rather than no-one at all. I'd imagine pretty much everyone can manage to book in advance - via a parent if too young to have a credit card. If we book tickets for, say, the middle of the circle, we could probably all manage to sit toghether if we get there a bit early. Maybe we should do a poll or something - we should decide within the next few days.

edit: as Ninja's already suggested 1.30pm on Saturday 28th, why don't we go with that? I'm sure that'd be convenient for most of us - just a case of all booking our tickets this week.

 

Ok, that time is fine with me. That's 3 of us who agree on it, so that is now the new time and date!
