These servers need a better class of player.

We're gonna give it to them.

When Saturday September 20th, 11am till Late (usually we wrap things up about 1-2am)

Where!? Echo Base (My place), in The Gap. PM me if you need the address.

What doth I bringeth to yonder LAN soiree?

    • Your computer, obviously.

    • Headphones

    • POWERBOARD

    • $10 to pay for power and supplies

    • Your own booze, if you so choose.
    • yay unintentional rhyming

We should have enough people for a 5v5 arena tournament, if anybody else is interested. To be fair on everybody else, I'll nominate myself and BBN and team captains and we'll draw the rest of the teams out of a hat, once we know for sure who is coming and who is interested.

Thank You for Helping Us Help You Help Us All
Guidelines to a happy LAN party

    • TEST YOUR HARDWARE. For the sake of an easy LAN party, make sure everything you'll be doing is going to work. So, run your games and upgrade your drivers beforehand

    • Make sure your files are organized (and keep your files family friendly ;) )

    • If you don't have to access the internet, don't. This means both surfing and programs that use the internet automatically. You're using somebody elses internet quota, and they'll usually need all of it

    • Keep the place as close to clean as you can :p

So far the awesome people who have confirmed their attendance ARE-

Isn't this Serious Business Live 3? Don't forget the showdown at Goobs's.

Which means that In November it will be Serious Business Live 4 where we play Left 4 Dead. Appropriate, no? :D

Huh, Sammich doth speaketh the truth - it was Lanapalooza '07. [face_thinking]

Good grief, continuity? I'm not sure if that's awesome or scary. Probably both. Wow. Let's see how long this lasts. One year down, hopefully more years to come before it finally leaps via a water-born vessle over a carnivorous aquatic creature.

    Aaaahhhh...

Still, I think we should retcon Lanapalooza into SBL1. The syncronicity of Serious Business Dead being number 4 is just too good to pass up.

    Lucas would do it.

Damn man. That is what I decree to be a turnout. Any more than this and we're going to need an additional gigabit switch. I can support 10 users off my pair. We should establish now if any of the people on the current list have access to one they can bring, just in case it turns out to be needed. Needs to be gigabit, that's important. If no one else has one, it's no biggie, as they're relatively cheap these days.

This meatbag thinks you're right. Transfer me to the possibles list, please. I have a family function the day after down the Gold Coast (non-attendance gets me cut out of the will), and lately, I'm working Saturday night shifts. I'll do what I can to arrange shift swaps, but it may not be possible.

We've got 10 people on the definite list, which means we're right on the limit of the number of computers we can run off the two network switches I'll be bringing. Does anyone else have a gigabit switch they can offer up?
