Yet another reason why I make copies of all my DVDs, keep the originals locked away.

Well my friend asked me if she could borrow them in the middle of a party in front of a ton of other people. I think she did it on purpose because she knew I couldn't say no or I'd look like a jackass. But I like being a jackass [face_plain]

Who's the jackass, the person with the dvd's or the person without?

After we watched ASiB, one of my roommates was like, "Well, that was one of the best things of any kind I've ever seen."

A friend of mine still has my series two Blu-rays. I gave them to her six months ago. Maybe I should ask for them back. :p

It's nice to be nice to the nice, so Frank Burns tells me.

Cool. Hope there will be a US version, someday. Although, I probably don't need another edition of Clue. :p

Assuming it's based on Series 1 and 2, wouldn't the solution to every game be: "Moriarity was behind it"?

Have you read the description? Apparently Moriarty is dead. :p

Although, given this, Rachel is probably right... :p

Oops, probably should have read it.

But yeah, I say it was Moriarity himself.
Which raises a point from the actual show -- when he killed himself on the rooftop, and left Sherlock no choice but tojump, wouldn't it raise a suspicion amongst the police that it was a murder suicide committed by Sherlock? [face_thinking]

Nah - even if they could argue that Sherlock somehow wiped his fingerprints from the gun and put it in Moriarty's hand (he didn't have gloves on him), there would have to be struggle between them to produce such a wound (I don't think Moriarty would allow Sherlock to put a gun in his mouth willingly).

BTW, I was watching TRF with my roommates the other day (first time seeing it for them, and one was bawling, totally thought Sherlock was actually dead... which, yeah, was my reaction when it first aired as well ;) ) and I realized something about Moriarty's death... Now I do hope Moriarty is actually dead, and I think he's meant to be. But if he really is, then they have an error in that scene. Namely, when Sherlock looks back at Moriarty's corpse, he's lying there with the gun still in his hand. It should be lying nearby, dropped. You can't hang onto a gun when you're dead. This is one of those classic, common errors people make when trying to frame a murder as a suicide. I only thought about this, though, because I recalled the homicide detective I used to work with bringing up that this actually did play into some cases he worked.

So... yeah. Either they made a mistake, or it's meant to be a clue to the detectives in the audience, consulting or otherwise, that Moriarty is still alive.

So the actual shot of Moriarty shooting himself is not reality but what Sherlock wants the audience to think?

    That's so meta. :p

(But I think the gun in Moriarty's hand is just a production error, really :p)

No I don't think it's Sherlock tricking out the audience, no ;) The trouble with this being a production error (which I think it probably is) is that you'd think they would want to make sure every detail was accurate to their version of events, whatever that proves to be. To insist that fans should watch it carefully and then to have an error like that would be a fairly big "whoops".

I'd be rather disappointed if Moriarity turned out to be alive. He "shoots himself" right in front of Sherlock, who clearly believes he is dead. Wouldn't say much for Sherlcok as a detective if he turned out not to be dead.
