    theres no mystery about it..she is just about to die hence anakin feels it in the force and sets off back but just in time....What I never understand is why the hell he never went back in the last 10years???

    He never went back because there is no time for those types of things in the life of a jedi, let alone the fact that he was too old when they began training him anyway. There is no room for personal attachments to anything but keeping peace in the galaxy, but anakin obviously never saw it that way.
