    Hey Peoples,

Here's the "Heads up" on a special Blue Harvest promo.

Fox are working with Video Ezy to give out a limited edition Star Wars/Family Guy Blue Harvest poster that is only available in Australia and NZ for the Blue Harvest release.

It will go pretty quickly and only available from February 6 (while stocks last).

Seems that if you buy the DVD from VideoEzy, you get the poster for free.

I'll see if I can get a copy of the poster and stick it up here later.

Also, be watching Channel V on the 31st of January at around 4:30 pm for some info on the launch. :)

I didn't know there was a Video Exy in Tas, Nick.

$$$ is a bit loow at the moment, but I did manage to see it via Shadowfire.

I think there s a video EZY down in the K-Mart plaza. I keep meaning to go in and check but I never end up down that way. I've had a copy pre-ordered at EzyDVD for ages anyways.

A couple of firends of mine are trying to talk me into putting on the TK suit and going in to pick it up.

I guess I'll see how I feel at the time.

    How was your Christmas/New Year?

It would be breat if R2 was done but I don't see that happening in the next couple of days.

Got some new photos of the dome up online. Been working on the electronics for the PIC flasher over the weekend.

but for now I have to go watch a DVD

For those in Launceston Family Guy Blue Harvest is available @ Ezy DVD.

I didn't think it was out till the 6th but I'm not gonna argue

I felt kinda so-so about it.

Some things had me completely cacking myself (the couch joke, doof-doof TIE fighter etc), but some things I thought were really average. The whole Herbert/Obi thing was dismally unfunny (yes, he's a paed, we get it - can we move on now?) and the Stewie/Vader thing had so much potential, but they barely touched on it.

I'm hoping that the next two manage to do it better.

I did like the Pimped up TIE, that was hilarious. The couch thing was one of the things I don't like about FG (drawn out awkward jokes, like how Peter grabs his knee and does the 'Fffffffffff ooowwwwwww' thing) Brain needed more stuff. I liked Chris. And the arguement at the end about Robot Chicken (which did a much more awesome SW spoof than FG, IMHO) was hilarious.

What I really liked, in retrospect, was the stuff that wasn't included in the main character thing. Like the two Death Star techs when the Falcon is being hauled in :p Or the storm troopers being mildly retarded.

Oh, and the 'Aren't you a little fat to be a storm trooper' exchange.

But that adds up to about 20 seconds of stuff :p

    Taken from Wiki:

"With the episode's ratings success, a sequel episode entitled "Something, Something, Something Dark Side" is in production and is expected to parody The Empire Strikes Back."

I agree, Brian needed more stuff.

Death Star techs were hilarious. Awwww, young love. :*

I cacked myself at the John Williams/Danny Elfman thing too. The skeleton with glasses and a baton... *chuckles to self*

A lot of the jokes were drawn out and it could have been made much better.

I agree the couch joke etc.. could have been made shorter and still gotten the laugh they were going for.

Other scenes were perfect like entering Hyperspace or the asteroid field

The DVD had extra scenes added that I don't recall when it was aired on tv.

The 3D scene for the collectors set was disappointing. the red/blue glasses have never really worked for me. I thought they would have used the polarized 3D glasses but alas.

In the US I'm told that the collectors set had only one set of 3D glasses it did however come with a extra disc allowing you to transfer a portable digital copy to a media player or computer.

Considering the audience for this show I'm surprised that FOX in Australia did not include the disc down here. This is a good step for some of these companies allowing the customers to legally have a copy that can be viewed on devices like a iPod or portable video player. As such I think such initiatives by these companies should be encouraged hopefully prompting others to follow.

Until then people on this side of the pond will have to either wait or break copyright.

    Just my 10 cents

Got my copy in the mail today. I've seen the episode already and enjoyed it, although there are moments that didn't hit home, most of it worked well. I think Empire, being the best Star Wars film after all, will be even better, especially since Stewie will have more air time.
