Why were you on Dathomir anyway?

 

Cause Dathomir is cool dude.

 

Except for Rancors, Dathomir is unremarkable.

 

In responce to "why I was there", here's the whole story of my Dathomirian adventure...

I went there for no reason other than the fact that I hadn't been there before. I wanted to see a Nightsister but I didn't get to. Which is probably for the better cause I hear they're super tough.

Anyway, when I got there I saw a hunting party forming. As it turned out they got the location of the lair of the ancient bull rancor from one of the developers. That specific rancor is supposed to be the toughest creature in the game.

So I joined their party and we went there and killed like 3 of them. Then someone accidentally got 2 of them to come out at us and one of them killed me (the the majority of the party). Then I signed off.

When I came back on I decided to walk all the way from town to my corpse on the other side of the planet (even though I was insured and my corpse only had like 145 credits on it). So I walked all the way there and made it without dying. Then I turned and began walking to the other city and got killed on the way. That time I wasn't insured so I had to go back for my corpse again (hence the reason I was in my underwear in that pic)! Anyway, I got my stuff back and got off that rock as soon as I could. Woo!

 

That's frickin' hilarious. Good job!

 

Hmm, you are in your underwear. Alright, that's coming off the board.

 

Marmakecam, will SOE allow you to keep your character and all it's items and other such things once the beta ends?

EDIT: Forget that, it falls under the NDA anyway. I wouldn't want Matt to get in trouble.

 

Well, I guess I had better say it now. Galaxies is being released on June 26th...

No we don't get to keep our characters. Make's me sad hehe. (I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge and not a breah of the NDA.)

And if I were you I wouldn't get you're hopes up too much about the June 26th release date. It's possible but I still kinda doubt it. As of yesterday the SWG devs haven't commited to a release date although the stores are posting June 26.

I am considering taking along my video camera, to capture the loving reactions of the rest of you to the system that I have devised. Mind you, when you see it, you will feel a sense of bewilderment, at the seeminly psychotic base of these objects. Everything will be explained Saturday...

Also, according to Q-3P0, they will only be opening about 10 servers (alphabetical) on opening day. This means Starsider may not even be up until the first week in July. We might have to adjust our plans...
