Hi Gang,

We have another event that you can choose to come to if you wish. Barnes & Noble on Transit Road (by Eastern Hills Mall - Clarence) just received word from Lucas-land that they will be a participating vendor helping promote Star Wars Reads Day.

The day is Saturday October 6, 2012 at 11am to 2pm. Me and Peter Jr. are on the bill for this one, and if memory serves me correct, Chris Losey is an employee there as well (a-hem, Chris - we'll make sure you're working that day ) . So come on out with your reading glasses, nooks, and light sabres.​

Are we interested in possibly sending a few people to the Niagara Falls Boulevard location as well to cover both locations?

 

If someone answers Gil's question, I would go to Barnes near Eastern Hills as I would have to go right to work

I wouldn't have a problem trying to staff both locations if there are enough volunteers. Does the event have to be run at both locations at the same time?

 

I would only be available for the Eastern Hills location d/t I have to leave early to get ready for a wedding in Kenmore at 2pm

 

I don't think that Blvd Mall is doing it since it's only the Transit Rd store that applied for the promotion. But I will have Amy double check.

 

Both are on the list along with Pottery Barn in the Galleria...

Amy said she will talk to Dave, her boss, who will in turn talk to Jim @ Niagara Falls Blvd branch to see if they want characters present. (I can't see why not - Clarence is tickled pink that we'll have some folks there.)

Supplemental to above message...

According to Amy, The Niag Falls Blvd B&N branch has no plans for character attendance. If you wish to attend Niag Falls Blvd, you would have to arrange something with them by contacting their public relations manager. This event on this thread is for the Clarence branch only since they contacted me (through association with Amy and that I've made an appearance for them in the past).

If you want to split up, that will be up to you. Amy cannot arrange for Niag Falls Blvd.

 

No worries, I was just checking because both locations were on the list.

 

We should be still good for this; will confirm when we return next week.

Sorry I forgot to post on this one. Will be away for Canadian Thanksgiving.

 

I called this morning, and confirmed my meeting with the manager at the NF Blvd location tomorrow.

They are very excited to be working with us again...

 

Meeting went really well, and all of the details are finalized for NF Blvd B&N.

Oddly enogh, they mentioned someone contacting them on Thursday other than myself after my initial contact was made...
