Jazz is most likly the coolest robot in the entire Transformers saga.

Little is known about Jazz before the war. It is likly that he was working with the Autobot military way before most. But even before then he most likly was a student of culture. Studying the ways of alien rases on his personal time. Not to make him an expert... but to observe style!

Jazz (like all the Autobots) was unwillingly thrusted into the war as a mater of survival. He showed that he had great skill as an undercover agent, and great leadership skills.

When he awoke on Earth he found himself reconfigured into a Porshe 935 Turbo, with "Fairlady Z" design work. It was on Earth that he found a great calling to music. Earth culture (mostly Rock and roll and Jazz) gave him great focuse. He always tries to see the upside to things... but he is a realist. He does not see the world through rose colored optics.

Although Prowl is the second in command (G1 season 1) Jazz had shown even more promise as a leader. This is why Optimus leaned on him so heavily. Jazz would typicaly assign missions and tasks to his fellow 'bots. Jazz was one of the few original Autobots to make it throught the First Unicron attack. But it was at the hands of Starscream (and the power of the underbase) that took Jazz down. For a year or two Jazz found himself in stasis lock unable to function until one day he awoke to find that he had been changed into a new body with new "Pretender" technology. He now had an outer shell that looked for all the world... Human! Okay... a 25 foot tall human... but flesh non-the less. He could step out of the shell and control it as could all the pretenders, and he still could transform into the porsche. Later the shell would be destroyed by the Decepticons.

At the end of the first war, Jazz allowed himself to be altered again by the fad technology Action master. He could no longer Transform, but his now large rifle like weapon could transform into a "turbo board". Yes Boys and Girls... Jazz has a skate board!

Alternators: To assist Prime in the search for the hidden Decepticons, Jazz changed his apperance and name! He was now a white Mazda RX-8 and called himself Meister (which is what all the other operatives on Cybertron called him... Agent Meister).

Jazz Returned to his old ways and general look when he, Sidesipe, Grimlock and others became a form of Decepticon exterminators at the begining of Generation 2. He would hold out through the war against the new generation of transformers, but then he retired from the Autobot Service.

Jazz would re-enter the war durring the Mini-Con chase (Armada) but only as a spy for a few missions... then it was back to enjoying life... as well as he could.

He and a few other Spychanger style Autobots were sucked into the Black hole that threatend Cybertron (Cybertron), but instead of being destroyed they were sent forward in time to the final battle with Unicron. (Universe)

Jazz remained the true to his self 'bot he would always be. good natured and a natural leader.

Soundwave

First of all... the original strange profile lists soundwave as the most hated of all Decepticons... even hated by all of the Decepticons. He was supposed to be a powerhungry liar that used the power to read minds to get what he wanted. The Profile has changed as soon as the cartoon started.

Soundwave... the monotone right hand of Megatron. His original form was a comunications tower. He was totaly loyal to Megatron. He was abord the Nemesis when it launched against the Ark.

G1... Soundwave awoke on Earth, re-formated into a small hand held tape recorder. He was one of the few Transformers with the molecular reconfiguration. He retained the ablility to hold smaller partner robots that would transformer into audio tapes. The first five tapes were two condors (Laserbeak and Buzzsaw), panther (Ravage), and two human shaped robots (Rumble and Frenzy). Soundwave would fight long and hard for the Decepticons for many years. He could be one of the only original Decepticons that would survive through the first Unicron battle. Later down the road Soundwave would play hoast to the Decepticon leader and fule auditor Rat Bat. Soundwave was instrumental in the descovery of the Underbase (which would lead to severe damage and near destruction). After being repaired he would pick up a few more friends, the dinosaurs Slugfest and Overkill, the bird squak talk and the gorilla beast box (they would combine to form squakbox). Soundwave would later (at the end of the first war) would also take on the the Action Master prosess. He would have a bird like partner named wingthing that would transform into a large laser rifle. Soundwave retrited back to Cybertron at the end of the G1 war.

G2: Soundwave made a few apperances at the begining of the war against the second generation Transformers in his original form. Later he would change his form to assist Megatron and Optimus as a Go-Bot (later known as the Spychangers). Soundwave was a neon green sports car with the ability to turn invisible. The second generation Transformers were defeated with Soundwaves help.

Machine Wars: Soundwave changed his form into an armoured vehical with an enormous missle launcher. He watched Megatron continuously fight Optimus Prime time and time again. Soundwave started to tire of the Decepticon goals. After the cold war... and durring the Decepticon/Predicon conflict soundwave went into hiding. He spent a lot of time looking to Unicron for answers. He saw Unicron as the ultimate power... one to be worshiped and followed.

Unicron had been defeted again... Soundwave took on a new partner... an Minicon... also named Laserbeak... Changed his form to a super stealth fighter. He re-joined Megatron as an operative of unicron. He and a double dealing robot named Sideways, started the Planet X cult. There goal is to bring Unicron into power and conqure the galaxy.

Honestly I am not sure how that turns out... but I can assume that Soundwave and Unicron are stoped by Primus.

Much later in the future Soundwave would return to his Machine wars form to join uincron again to defeat the Autobots and rule the galaxy (Transformers Universe).

 

Grimlock

The direction that I am going to report on Grimlock has to do with the most common stories... which is NOT the cartoons. The cartoons tell Grimlock and the other dinobots were built on Earth with no more regaurd than a strange experiment.

War Within: Grimlock was a platoon commander leading some of the best Autobots into battle against the worst of the Decepticons. Among his troops were Ironhide, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, and Kup (who always questioned his orders). Grimlock is commonly thought of as unintellegent, or even stupid... this is FAR from the case. Grimlock has a speach malfunction that makes him sound dumb (Me Grimlock, smash Decepticons). His alternate mode was that of an armored battle wagon. At that time he was commander of the "Dynobots"... which would later be known as the "Dinobots".

G1: Grimlock and the other Dynobots were with the Autobot crew on the Ark headed for Earth. They did not crash in the same way... durring the fighting Grimlock saw that the Decepticon Shockwave was boarding an escape pod. Grimlock and the Dynobots also boarded an escape pod bound for Earth. Grimlocks pod crashed putting the Dynobots into stasis lock (which did not happen to Shockwave). Fortunatly the pod was not as baddly damaged as the Ark and recognized the Dinosaurs as the highest form of life and turned the Dynobots into the Dinobots. Grimlock lead the Dinobots against Shockwave, and was able to trap him into a tar pit. Unfortunatly Grimlock and the others also were traped in the tar. the Decepticon and Dinobots were left in stasis lock for 4 million years.

Grimlock was rescued by Ratchet in order to stand up to Shockwave again. The Dinobots were free again. Grimlock had no problem showing that he did not support Optimus Prime. Infact he rarly showed respect to Autobot leaders feeling that he could command better. At one point (As Optimus was out of commission) Grimlock was elected leader of the Autobots...which he took too far and crowned himself king of the Autobots. He even sentenced the Autobot Blaster to death for disobeing a direct order.

When the Transformers were found after thought to be destroyed, Grimlock was programed by humans to be a terrorist weapon... This did not last long. But when he re-activated he thought that it would be better to not side with the Autobots... but rather the Decepticons. He thought that the Autobots were too weak... he was wrong and had left the decepticons. He did not re-join the Autobots at first... instead he was a free agent attacking Megatron randomly. He rejoined the Autobots as Starscream merged with the underbase... knocking Grimlock into massive stasis lock. It was ratchet to the rescue again. Grimlock awoke next to his friends Jazz and Bumblebee... a Pretender. He gained more respect for the Humans this way. However... in a fairly short time he lost the outershell and stayed a smaller version of his old form. Near the end of the first war grimlock was placed in command of the Autobots when Prime was thought to be dead. Grimlock thought that the best use of his time was to revive the Dinobots using a chemical that he had discovered that was the catilist for the Action master prosess. He was the first Action Master. He had an anti-tanck cannon that would transform into a very large hand laser.

ALternators.

Grimlock would stay with Optimus on Earth to attemp to find all the Decepticons. His form this time was a Ford Mustang.

Generation 2: Grimlock continued to fight the Decepticons without issues of morality. He just took his original Dinobot form and repainted it a few times.

Grimlock stayed out of the fighting for a while until the Minicons were discovered. Grimlock and the new Dinobot team coated themselves in a skin that looked VERY much like skin. This form was a Velociraptor. The Dinobots would fight the Destructicons. Grimlock and Swoop entered the Powerlinx battles to combine to for

 

Bumblebee!!!!!

Grandpa: Oh hell no, Star Wars was popular during my age while Transformers are nothin more than idiot robots who can't tell if they are Dinosaurs or Cars.

And going from the looks of the arm, I'd say the previous pic of the truck with the flames is accurate too. Look at the paint job on the arm. It's blue with red, but the red looks like flames.

 

Yeah, so much for the flame job being part of a disguise.

Though I didn't think it would be, you dont see too many trucks on the 10 freeway painted red and blue with flames.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee has almost always been one of the smallest of the Autobots. Eager to take on any assignment no mater the risk in an attempt to prove himself to Optimus Prime and Iornhide. He was very kind hearted and very outgoing. He had turned into the ambasidor to the humans as he had the closest personality to the common person.

War Within: Bumblebee transformed into a ground based vehicle that looked like a flying sauser(but it did have four wheels). He was under the command of Prowl durring the opening of the war against Megatron. He assited in many bearking and entering missions.

Upon awakining on Earth Bumblebee found that he had become a WV bug. During one of the first Earth battles Bumblebee was damaged and separated from the rest. He was found by two teenage brothers (Spike and Buster) and brought back to there father william (AKA Sparkplug) for repairs. William does the best he can, and helps Bumblebee back into shape... it was then that the Whitwicky family met there first Robot in Disguise. Bublebee became best friends with Spike. A freindship that would last until Spikes death (G2). Occationaly Bumblebee would become depresed at his lack of strength. True he was the most fuel effecient and the best vission of all the Autobots... he still was far from the best. However it was Bumblebees strength of character that kept him at the top of the duty roster for Optimus and Jazz.

In 2002 Bumblebee was used as a weapon of terrorism (along with a few other transformers). With Primes help, Bumblebee was reassembled and reactivated to his same shape.

In 2005 Bumblebee was placed in charge of the Autobot base on Moon base 2 (which he destroyed in an attempt to destroy Unicron).

Bumblebee was destroyed by a leathal terrorist organization determined to rule the world. He was then rebuilt into a throdlebot named Goldbug. Gold bug had all of the powers of Bumblebee... retained his small size... but had become stronger and faster. It seamed for a while that the carefree Autobot was lost in Goldbug. That would change. Durring the battle with the combing Starscream/underbase monster Goldbug was nearly destroyed. He was set in stasis lock for about a year. He awoke with Jazz and Grimlock as the three pretender classics. He was now a size that was comperable to the Autobots that he looked up to. And with the power of the humanlooking outershell, he was now a fighting machine that he always knew that he could be. But he was no longer Goldbug. Ratchet changed him back to Bumblebee. Ratchet explained that he always prefered Bumblebee to Goldbug. Bumblebee agreed. Later the Outershell was destroyed.

Near the end of the first war, Bumblebee underwent the Action master prosess. He no longer could transform, but he held a very large rifle that would transform into a backpack with an helicopter (yes... thats right... a helipack).

(G2) The war had ended. bumblebee desided to leave Earth for a time. He shed his action master form to return to his original Earth from. And in honor of this alter self, he painted himself a mirrored gold. Bumblebee maintained his original functions that he did durring the first war. Much later Bumblebee Changed forms one last time. He became a Go-bot (later known as spy changers) and was the same size and strength as Iornhide, Mirage, and Optimus Prime). Bumblebee retired from the service after that.

 

I think it's suppose to be that way Phil. There's probably something special about his eyes.

Interesting list.

I heard that most of the names... and I did know that there were supposed to be new characters... But Barracade and Black out?

Barracade in G1 was a Decepticon Micromaster! And He was a race car like Mirage.

Blackout was also a micromasster Decepticon. He was the back half of a micromaster combiner set.... he appeared to be the back end of an air plane.

Transformers do Not have kids... however many of the transformers will look at there constructor as there Father or Mother. But the life of the Robot comes form the Matrix. Therefore Megatron from Beast Wars and Megatron from classics are not actualy related.
