    A note from Sturm Antilles, changeling bartender and club owner :

    Welcome to the Outlander Club! The only place on the Jedi Council forums where booze and sex were allowed! ( Just kidding. )

    [image=http://www.theforce.net/episode2/locations/pics/club.jpg]

    This social movement began with this thread in the Literature forum, which started with a racy comment in the New Jedi Order novel Rebel Stand. :)

    I closed the thread and basically relocated it to EU Misc, where it was renamed "Sturm's Outlander Club". The first version of this social thread was a massive success, drawing almost 10,000 posts in only one month's time...unheard of for EU social threads. But, alas, the thread cap came upon it, and a new version was needed. The Outlander Club went through four revisions, each one a success.

    Outlander Club 1.0 - June 2002
    Outlander Club 2.0 - July 2002
    Outlander Club 3.0 - August to October 2002
    Outlander Club 4.0 ( This thread ) - November to December 2002

    [image=http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/feature/20020716/img/19_bg.jpg]

    The luxurious nightclub was filled with many forms of entertainment...Dancing, music and comedy performances, sports broadcasts from the HoloNet ( including nuna-ball and Podracing ), holographic games of skill and chance, and thousands of varieties of drinks from all corners of the Known Galaxy, for every species of clientele.

    [image=http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/feature/20020215/img/6_bg.jpg]

    2002 was a great year for Star Wars fans, and I've personally made many good friends in this place. But alas, the Outlander Club was closed by the end of December. I plan to take a long leave of the Jedi Council by next summer, and I didn't want this place to slowly fade away. It was special, it's regulars were special, and it deserved to be a shining time capsule of us, as Star Wars fans, in 2002.

    Special note : The last page of this thread has the goodbye messages from various OC regulars, as well as a final message from myself. If for some reason you missed out on leaving a message, PM the text to me and it can be edited in.

    'Till we all meet again in the summer of 2005 . . .

    Whoooo! *Fossy bursts through the doors and checks out the new club. She goes around the bar and inspects the lables of the various drinks available and selects an Alderaanian Brandy.*

    Nice nice *After pouring herself a glass, she proceeds to claim a seat in the corner with a good view of the rest of the club.*

    This will do quite nicely indeed :)

    Sturm's wont die because it is the social thread that all of the others try and imitate. It is the original and still the best. All of those other pretender clubs are pale imitations compared to the glory of the Outlander Club.
