T-shirts?

So anybody have any ideas for t-shirts? start throwing out ideas.

 

I will be making t-shirts once we become a chapter.
I am accepting designs for the t-shirt now and will post the submissions for voting after I receive all of them.

Proprietary images will probably not be allowed according to imformation provided by others who have done this. However I will talk to a Lucasfilms rep for confirmation.

And what would make us a chapter?

 

We are currently a chapter.
Three meetings with at least three people each qualifies us.

I have just been a bit slack in getting them, since may. Also we have to come up with an idea for funds.

 

Oh, okay. So do you have a design already?


And I know all about slacking. The simple things get so hard sometimes.

 

im getting a copy of adobe photoshop from a friend, as soon as i get it installed im going to start working things out.

i was thinkning something like the Empire Strikes Back title format with the font type and everything.

and an image behind the text that could be something Star Wars-y or could be like a mix between Star Wars and VA/Shenandoah Valley. Something that connects the two.

 

shmatt had some images that he had emailed me. I think he was trying to work up something with them.

Another alternative would be to have text on the front and a image on the back.
But it really doesnt matter since at this point most of the group is male.

 

we could do our name with either the imperial logo or alliance logo on the back, or make two shirts with the imperial logo on one and the alliance on the other.

would that be possible with the place that you want to get the shirts from forcemedic?

 

There minimum order is six.So we would have to have six of each.

We cannot upload our own fonts.

However I spoke to a friend of mine today who I found out works for a local comapany that does screen printing.

Her preliminary quote is
15.00 pr shirt
25.00 first time art fee.
75.00 first time color set fee. (if we get into photo quality print or lots of colors.)
12 peice minimum order

With this company we could print DV if we wanted to, with the other we cannot. They dont do art that complicated.
Also once we are set up with this company then all we have to do is pay for the shirts them
selves every time we want to run a couple dozen.

Turns out my church uses these guys and I can say that they do good work.
We can also have a lot more artistic freedom with them.

 

So we should come up with some ideas, then, huh?


Since you mentioned Darth Vader.... Perhaps a black shirt with a white line drawing of Vader's helmet on the front, with a witty slogan. On the back, Shenandoah Valley, Virginia Fan Force in basic Star Wars font, in either white or gold, outline or solid....

An idea.

Also, remember that we will make a final descision on t-shirts at the Sept 17 meeting. So have all submissions in by then.

Darn. I wish I could be at that meeting.... Well, the DV shirt is my submission. A rough idea.... If it's chosen, you guys can tweak it or whatever.
