    Two more:

Mercedes McNab (Harmony from Buffy) and Cynthia Nixon (Sex in the City) were also both in the film in a decent-sized and a cameo respectively.

gee I'm disappointed that some were disappointed in the original Casino Royale - I thought it hilarious plus it had that wonderful song "The Look of Love" - that lost out to the stupid "Talk to the Animals" at the Oscars. and when the lions were ON TOP of safari jeep and "Born Free" was playing. I laughed a lot and still do.

what I am disappointed in is that a scene was filmed for the new Casino Royale at the Villa Balbianello, site of Anakin and Padme's first kiss and wedding. I just don't want to see James Bond there...or any other movie character, actually.

Jon Voight was great. But sadly the film as a whole was quite bland.

Despite owning this movie, it wasn't until I read this thread that I realized why Bruiser was so familar.

And IIRC the movie was made post-Good Will Hunting, or at least released after it.

It's not, unfortunately, a great movie, but the cast is really good.

I thought Billy Crudup was especially good in Big Fish. He's an excellent actor.
And Albert Finney was fantastic as well.

Yeah, Crudup was fantastic here and I agree that he is in general. He has the difficult task of making the least exciting personality of the film nonetheless sympathetic.

This is a fantastic cast. Really, just superb. Each individual alone is, but even more they work perfectly together. Allison Lohman is a dead ringer for Jessica Lange. And the pairing of Ewan McGregor and Albert Finney was truly inspired casting.

Allison Lohman looks so much like a young Jessica Lange that is is scary.

Honestly, I can't imagine much of a better cast. Ewan manages the fantastical elements of the story with his charm while Crudup is able to handle the real world with an equally commanding performance.

One of my all time facorite films.

    Yes, mine too.

And let's not forget Albert Finney, who is 100% convincing and engrossing as that guy that, despite his age and feebleness, can always hold everyone's attention with his charm and stories. The perfect bridge between the fantasy world Ewan's Ed inhabits and the cold, hard reality of Billy Crudup's Will.

I loved seeing Steve Buscemi give a relatively laid back performance for once.

Dick is quite funny with various cast members from SNL & Kids in the Hall. Dunst, Williams, Hedaya & Rubinek hold their own in this cute & charming film. I haven't seen it in a long time & I wonder if the revelation of the real deep throat will change any effect on this film.

Once Upon a Time in America is a fantastic film but it depends on which version you see. As Leone got older & his budgets increased his films got longer and more were cut by frustrated distributors. The full version is better than what was originally released in the states. I don't think the short version even exists on DVD. Besides the cast already mentioned there are a number of child actors that have to play subject probably to risque to shoot these days. Compare the kids in this film to something like Sleepers which goes for a similar feel.

The cast included: Sean Pean, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Phoebe Cates, Ray Walston, Forest Whittaker, Eric Stoltz, James Russo, Nicholas Cage, Anthony Edwards, and Martin Brest (who became a director; unfortunately, it was of "Gigli" (among others.)

It's fun catching all of the familiar faces in Fast Times at Ridgemount High. You can practically make a drinking game out of this movie. As far as casting is concerned, I always put this movie in the same league as "Dazed and Confused" and "School Ties". As times went on, I just noticed more and more familiar actors from those movies.
