The Animated Character Draft (Champion = Chim)

Good lord! I know like 24 of those guys on that list. I only hope that no one takes any of them so I can draft a team I know anything about.




















I have a terrible feeling about this draft.

 

Seriously. I really think there should be a power list or something, so the GM's at least have some idea of some of the names that are good.

I have no fragging idea. No fragging idea.

 

I know about half. And if I get the first pick I really want, either the other 5 don't really know this list, or I don't really know this list.

And OMG Terry and Static are on this list. Coolness.

 

Hell, I'm a judge and I only know about half the list or so. With this one, I'm thinking just wing it, guys. Really, just draft and have fun with this one. This one is just really a huge experiment, I think. I predict a whole lot of learning as we go from almost everybody. It's probably going to be a mess no matter what.

That doesn't mean don't research your picks or pick random names or don't even try. Just... don't sweat it too much and start pulling your hair out trying to decide who the absolute best picks are at every spot.

I think there are three series that I have not seen any episode of, but only one that I have never heard anything on.

I am going to just wait and see who gets drafted ahead of me because researching all of these guys I don't know is overwhelming. I am seriously hoping that some of these guys will stick around for my pick, otherwise I might take 3-4 days to pick someone because I have no idea what's going on.

So pretty much I'm going to say 'to hell with the names I don't know' and I'm going to pick from the names I do know.

And you judges are going to like it.

 

I like it. I have sort of an idea of who I would pick first, maybe would be good for about 3 rnds.

Of course I also know only about half the list. So when the matches start I'll have to research hard to make good judgments. but rest assured, it shall be done.

I'm having a hard time deciding who to pick...

 

I would like to offer one word of caution for researching the Elfen Lied characters. The show is very mature by US standards and has lots of extreme gore, violence, and some non-sexual nudity. So, just a warning so no one gets in trouble while looking up those characters.

With that said...

Don't be scared, guys. The first time I played the comic book draft I had read maybe five comics in my entire life. I went with what I knew and did a bit of research and came out with a decent team. And look around you, everyone else is in the same exact position. I doubt anyone who signed up knows the whole list. Who knows, maybe you know the really awesome steal that is out there and no one else does.

 

hmm. I know more characters then I thought. 7th eh? Wasn't I 7th or 10th in the movie draft?

 

nobody pick any of te sailor moon girls...thats my whole team....i'm kinda serious

 

The scary thing is, that probably wouldn't be a tragedy. Add to them the Powerpuff Girls and you might actually have a contender.

 

Though i only know a few i do think most if not all the characters are probably going to be really good match ups against eachother.
