I think it's high time we had a new thread for this topic.

Post pics, how-tos, wish-lists and whatever you're working on or thinking about.

This is not a costuming group, but a lot of us do, and since most of my costumes aren't pro or canon enuf for the serious costume groups, I need somewhere to discuss it.

The one I've been thinking of lately needs a piece that really should be made by a replica costume company before it can be done well: I would love to do a Celebration Luke costume with an authentic, real leather, replica of the yellow jacket he wears to the medal ceremony at the end of E4.

I've seen that jacket done quite nearly spot on... A really good job... They even had the medal.

    Do you know them?

I would assume it would be prohibitively expensive to get a custom done, especially to the extent I'm imagining/wishing for: I want something I'd be comfortabe wearing out, with lining, pockets--the whole deal--as if it came off a dept. store rack.

Mando... Next thing on list is custom Mando.

It's in the works as I type... Wait til you see the color scheme....

I met them... Don't know them.... And the only way you'd get one comfortable to wear all time like that is prob to get it made...
Cuz off the rack (as a costume) like the MR ones they're selling prob won't be that quality. Unless the ones they had on the
circuit last year weren't what they'll be selling...

Did they have one of these?

So, give it up--what's the Mando plan? Where are you getting your bucket/armor?

    1. Custom Mandalorian. It's about 90 % done and I need to get off my
lazy butt to have it done before May 1st. Anyone else that is interested
in doing a custom Mandalorian (Mandalorian Mercs)- let me know. Drago,
in Hot Springs, can help get you started, assist with the armor and
get you the soft parts. I'm trying to get a chapter started in AR-
and so far, we only have one official Mercs Member.

    2. Umbrella Corporation soldier- non cannon. At least for the moment.
I hope to have this upgraded to a Centurion- but it's a WIP. May just
keep it the way I have it now. There's plans on having a Zombie Walk
in LR sometime in October- and may just have to do this costume....

3&4- These are projects I want to do, but money is an issue. At least for now
and after CV. First off, BSG Marine. Not really that hard to do, but again its
the $$$ to get all the parts. Second, and this is a big dream- and that's to do
a "Band of Brothers" Easy Company soldier from WW2.

    I think that's it.

Nope... no mando details until the "reveal" which may be awhile.. (depending on whether or not I go to summer school)

I also have several Padme EP 1 gown that are WIP.

I"m also wanting to do a Hit Girl, and Penny from Bolt. (But those are "con" costumes...

Train Your Dragon gal costume as well? ;) That's gonna be awesome if you can actually get that one done. That is a sweet costume hehehe Loved that movie. Shoot even Alana liked it and actually watched the whole thing w/o any issues (she got scared with 2 parts of it [the big fighting ones])
