I'm guessing that this episode has ARC Troopers and the first one is about Clone Cadets.

    EDIT: From Big Shiny Robot:

On the heels of ?Clone Cadets? comes ?ARC Troopers,? which revisits the clones after the notable events of ?Rookies? ? with the surviving squad members tasked with defending Kamino from a large-scale Separatist attack. After the Republic repulses the Separatists? first assault, the real threat begins. Asajj Ventress, General Grievous and an army of droids rise out of the planet?s oceans, determined to destroy the clone production facilities ? and the clones themselves are the last line of desperate defense.

?This episode raises the stakes in a really spectacular way. This is big space opera; this is why you want to own an HD TV. It?s basically the scale of a Star Wars movie ? on TV,? says Baker. ?It?s awesome. I?m so very proud of this show; it?s exciting to make this kind of episode work. And it?s such a team effort. There?s an army of artists working to make this compelling and moving.
    This is extraordinary storytelling.?

And it?s just the beginning. In a galaxy far, far away?much to learn there still is.

Can't wait for this episode, but I just can't understand how 99 will be a main character in both episodes [face_thinking]

I can't wait to see the cast from Rookies again! That was by far one of the better S1 episodes. :)

I wonder if we'll see Shaak Ti in a lightsaber duel in this episode.

99's voice does not fit the character. Something was definitely odd with it.

It's incongruous because he looks old and you're not used to hearing Baker's voice in an old man. ;)

I think it's an incongruity that works, because it reminds you that 99 is not as old as he seems. He could actually be younger than Echo and Fives.

I wonder if any of the survivors from 'Rookies' will end up toast in this episode...

Same here...a guy can have a fuzzy heart, can't he? :p

Seriously, though. 99 seems like the kind of character this show needs. One thing I've been hoping for in this show is a link to the real world. Every character seems to have a superpower. (Or in the clones' case, super training.) Having a normal person contribute should really add some depth to the story since you can relate to him.

I'd love to see her figgt General Grievous and lose. She wouldn't die of course, but her losing to Grievois has been an ongoing plot point in the overall CW story.

And if, right before she fights him, Shaak Ti hears his feet clanking, I'll be extremely happy. :D

Ughh, so apart from the lack of Seppie Victory, this episode was excellent, just as good as Cadets. Grievous was tops in this episode. He was intimidating, commanding, and he wasn't going to take crap from Ventress one bit.

I have to say that the pacing in this episode was top notch. It was great to see just how much stuff they crammed into a single episode. This is up there with Point Rain for the most widespread battle we've seen yet. A space battle, infiltration, snipers, rocket troopers, underwater combat, lightsaber fights, and widespread firefights.

The supposed cut scene with Ventress is easily spotted, but its not that bad. I'm still confused though that they would allow child soldiers and fetus genocide, they can't get away with one kiss.

Visually stunning, especially the opening Space Battle. The water effects were great as well.

Still, I was hoping like Gry to see a victory. For a minute or two, I thought that Ventress was going to get away with the Fett Genome, which would have made for a great plot following the hints about deteriorating clones from Cadets earlier. Unfortunately, it wasn't so. Ah well, we still got heavy action, two of the best saber fights on the show so far, and a very strong two parter to kick off the season.

I didn't realize how linked this episode is with Rookies- but I'm loving it! Rookies has been my second favorite episode in the entire series- behind only Ambush. 99...
