Well, I mean, first, how many non-documentary sports movies even get made on an annual basis? The last one I remember is Mr. 3000. The last enjoyable one was probably, what, The Hurricane? Ali? Finding the Champ? Cool Runnings? And that list, again, was probably a whole decade worth of sports movies. Michael Moore makes documentaries more regularly than sports movies as a genre come out.

Wocky there are dozens of sports movies released every year, whether you are aware of them or not.

How did we even start discussing sports movies in some bizarre thread like this?

To get this back on track, I haven't seen it because it hasn't come to Australia yet. (ever?) :(

But I want to!! It looks really awesome.

i have now seen cloud atlas 4 times. in the theater. this is something that i have never done before. upon finishing it for the first time i knew that it was one of the greatest movies that i have ever seen. now though, i'm wondering if i should remove the "one of" qualifier. i have never left a film so satisfied so many times in a row. every time i look for flaws in it, i find only minor ones. this film stands as a statement to the nature of filmmaking, and the modern understanding of what makes storytelling great and all the little tools used to achieve that greatness.

i believe i could see it a hundred more times and feel exactly the same. such a thing is no small feat.

    go see it, okay.
