    I thought this was supposed to be the Jedi Knight ladder, not the no-Force no-mod Battleground Jedi ladder. Just because someone is the best at really boring and lame saber duels doesn't mean he is the best JK player.

    Ok then - we all have to agree on specs.

    I just proposed a system I knew would work because, let's face it, the ladder system isn't working.

    If the reigning player doesn't choose the specs, who does? I'm not bothered, that's just the way I like to play - if anyone had a better idea, maybe they should have given it in instead of just moaning?

    I don't know what specifically would be best, but I think it would be better to have to prove yourself over different levels (including guns in some) and Force settings.

    Works for me, but I thought the point was that the champion chooses the settings and others must prove themselves first by beating him at his own game before they set the specs themselves? ?[face_plain]

    Hmmm? I think it shuld be a test of a player's skills in all areas. The only two ways one can go about that-

    1. Do ladder format, but have ff guns and sabers in all games, so the player must use their best skills to their best advantage.

    or

    2. Get rid of ladder format, and have different challenges the gamer must go through. Have a nf sabers part, a guns part, a ff part. The person with the highest score after all that is the champion. And that way, if you are good enough, you shoud stil do all right even if you are weak in one section. Like, say, you are unbeatable in sabers, but can't shoot worth crap (I dunno about th unbeatable in sabers part, but I KNOW I can't shoot worth crap :p), you hafta get like 50 points in the sabers match, and just do your best to hold your own in guns, and FF, and you still have a shot at winning.

    Personally I say thus:

    For title of JK champ, have the maps on rolling - vanilla JK. That way there are maps with sabers only (BGJ and the valley of the jedi tower) and maps with guns. Thus creating a fair JK game.

    Force level 0 or whatever. Kill limit or timed rotating maps - you play through all maps once. Whoever has the most kills wins. (a screenie and or writing down of scores is essential.)

    I would gladly take on Terra with this game format - and/or anyone.

    Though I'm not sure how much time I'll have to play JK due to a couple of other games I have, I'll still take on Terra for that Champ title :p

    Terra: how does the day after next sound? Or when ever we are both on ICQ and are free for about 30-40mins.

    But what about force? There ought to be at least one part with FF. Pwease?

    The NEXT tournament can be FF (or whatever). No point changing the rules 1/2 way through a match.

    It wouldn't be changing rules, as there were never any rules set to begin with.
