Sounds weird. What channel was that on?

'Bowling for Columbine' is on TV this Sunday, in a time and place many people will miss - 8:30pm on TV1.

That ad was on TV3, and seems to play in the evenings, I've seen it 4 or 5 times now.

That Inghams Chicken ad is FANTASTIC.

Good to see that SW is still engrained into our social fabric.

    Enough of this philisophical disscussion. 8-}

I saw it last night on ... can't remember if it was on TV One during "Black Books" or "Hardware", or earlier during the last few minutes of that stupid Australian cosmetic surgery thing.

Actually, Vanessa and I were gobsmacked at how stupid it was. I'm surprised some PC do-gooders haven't complained about it trivialising violence or something.

Also, I would have though the term "lightsabre" was a registered trademark. I wonder if they got permission?

The word 'lightsaber' is a registered trademark. Do they actually say the word 'lightsaber'? If so, it should say down the bottom 'lightsaber tm lucasfilm' or something.

I never watch the ads. My attention span is so short that I just can't sit there for that length of time without getting all edgy. I always go off and do something else ... its amazing all the things you can get done in ad breaks. I can dry and put away all the dishes in the ad breaks during The Simpsons.

yup, they use the word "lightsabre" in the ad. I was quite surprised they didn't say "laser sword" or something.

    OH. MY. GOD.

Ok, so as soon as i posted that i tested my "record" function on my tv capture card in my cvomputer and stopped it. Then the ad came on!

    The kid says:

"Look mum i made a lightsaber!" or something and the mum dismisses it - the then goes around cutting the living room up and then his mums arm off. The narrator says: "She wasn't prepared for that! But she is prepared for dinner with ingham chicken cor don blue" or whatever!

I recorded all of it but the start where the kid says look i made a lightsaber

I'm a damn fluke! hahaha I'll compress it and send it to anyone's e-mail who has yet to see the ad. PM me your e-mail if you want! :D

    NB: small fee applies.

    ;)

One of my favourite relatives resides in Orange County. Maybe we should invite ourselves over to their fanforce board - http://boards.theforce.net/Orange_County,_CA/b10123/ ... surf and sun is sounding mighty good right now.

I seem destined to miss it. I didn't even know tv2 were screening The Simpsons, lol.

In other news, From Star Wars to Star Wars is screening this Sunday (1 August) on TV3 2-3pm. That's the one about ILM hosted by Samuel L. Jackson.
