    duh, the egg. eggs were around much longer than chickens, in fact, they were around during the time of the dinosaurs. of course, I have been around much longer than even that...

    It's really a trick question. At night I feel like fried chicken so my answer is chicken. In the morning I feel like scrambled eggs... so that's what my answer would be.
    It's at lunch that the real answer comes out... I usually feel like eating a hamburger at that point ;).

    Damn, I got tricked into entering this thread because I thought it was something relating to Legolas. :) Anyway, the answer is the egg, because an adult chicken never could have appeared unless it came from a chicken egg. A chicken egg, however, could have been laid by something other than a chicken.
