Yeah, but I was in the final 48 hour countdown, and then this was sprung on us. Gutted.

Apparently the print won't get to the country in time. At least, that's the excuse we're being given.

But yeah, I will still see it 8 days before you guys... :D

I wonder if it's already been shown as previews already. Read EW last week, and Ew said the Ain't-it-Cool guy already seen it. [face_plain] Who did he pay to do that?

LOL pleading the fifth refers to the fifth amendment to the bill of rights, which says I dont have to answer a question if the answer would incriminate me.

I guess it loses something in the translation.

It's not really the first. It's a charity screening, but the actual movie will screen at 12:01 on the 16th.

However, I expect there probably will be a charity screening on the night of the 15th somewhere.

Klimt: [face_laugh] Ah, so that's what it means. Bart was writing that on the balckboard. :D

Mmm, IMDb doesn't list any of the charity screenings/previews dates.

Premiere at IMAX on the 15, tickets cost.... $75!!! :( I wonder who would fork out that much just to see it one day early.

Those $75 tickets include a big posh party before the movie (and possibly after), and it's a charity screening, so the money goes to the Variety Club for sick youngsters - so it's almost worth the price.

Although, with IMAX closing down because their losing money, it makes you wonder exactly how much of that $75 actually goes to the kids. [face_plain]

Yeah, Jay and Daniel are going to be there too.

It starts with food at 6:30 I think, followed by the movie at 8pm, Wed 15.

I'm keen to go, but finding someone willing to fork out the price might be tricky. If I do go, I will ask what percentage goes to the charity.

So where and when will the Christchurch group meet up? The tickets are being held hostage at the moment ;)

Even if there are only two screenings going, the place will be busy.

What's more embarrasing than asking for the Star Wars midnight screening ticket?

Turning up at the cinema at 9 pm asking for an exchange to the next morning!

The impossible had happened.... :( Mum won't let me go at 12! [face_plain] :( :_| The ticket guy looked at me with this "I-can't-believe-it!" look on his face when he explained AOTC is showing at every hour. The two 12:01 sessions and 1:00 were all sold out. And I'm all cried out. [face_plain]

Going 8am tomorrow morning. Anyone going at midnight, hope you have fun.
