Chatt, TN upcoming Christmas parades

On November 9, 2013, CHATTOOINE will be marching in the annual Hamilton Place Mall Santa Arrival Parade starting at 11:00am. This is one we've done for years. It'll happen outside the mall (a lap around the mall) and is always fun since it's relaxed and we have time for crowd interaction.

On November 23rd, we will be doing the East Ridge, TN parade. This will be a first for us. It's a night parade and we're going to try and put together a float. Should be fun!

If you're interested in learning more about Chattooine and possibly joining up, it's easy! Just let us know! (yeah, tough rules, eh?). We have meetings every 2nd monday of the month at the Carmike East Ridge theater (formally The Rave) at 6:30pm. Or contact us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/chattooine/. Costuming is NOT a requirement. Costuming is actually just a byproduct of what we started this thing for (a social group), but everyone is always welcome to do costuming things with us regardless whether you have a costume. We are always in need of "handlers" (costume support) at those events. Plus, if you get the itch to costume, we can certainly help!

 

The Santa Arrival parade went off well! We've done this one for several years now and is about as easy as you can get. One lap around the outside of the mall. This year, after we finished, we invaded the mall itself! My daughter Abby (Sally in the pic) wanted to go to Hot Topic dressed as Sally, so when everyone heard what we were doing, everyone joined in. Thankfully, security never even approached us. After Hot Topic, we hit the food court in between lots of various picture taking.
