as darth vader fans we should all hope david prowse can get better in time to reprise his role in eiii. without david darth vader would never have been the brilliant character he is.

He is stately, powerful and impressive in every movement....

LPH to Mr Prowse! Similarly I wish some good sense on George Lucas, so that he'll do the honourable thing, and hire Mr Prowse for ep. III.

I also feel the need to clarify Vader's height, which seems to have gotten muddled again:
Vader would be some 183 cm in his socks, and after having donned the armour, he'd be about 193 cm.

These figures are based upon 1: the height of Mr Prowse, and 2: what the armour adds to someone's height.
The official site obviously feel that nature must be improved upon, but I don't think so!!!!!
Lord Darth Vader is perfect the way he is!

The mock up of the armour, which you can buy for amazing amounts of money, has 1-2 dm added to its torso, in order to provide added height to make it more 'impressive'.
Which only makes it ugly!

 

David's body language was impressive ; he really gave life to Vader.
So few Vader icons in His Fan club ? Argh !

 

Yeah, it's a shame. But to be honest, this Vader is rather ugly...they should have done it better. But as a true Darthfan, what can I do....? *shrug*

Vader vs. Maul...Vader wins...why?

Smarts vs. Stupid

e.g. in ROTJ, Vader gets sick of Luke hanging out on the catwalk and does a (say it with me now) FORCE THROW and tosses his lightsaber out there to chop the catwalk down.

in TPM, Darth Maul gets sick of Obi-Wan hanging onto the conveniently-placed knobby thing and does what? He chops at the ground making little glow sparks and putting on his angry pouty face. Then he lets himself get chopped in half with a last ditch gambit that that should have been just a little predictable to someone who's supposed to be able to see the immdeiate future just before it happens.

Here's a question for you Vader fans . . .

In which scene does Vader make his best entrance??

coming out of the shuttle in ROTJ is pretty cool

but I always liked the cloud city entrance ... I remember the first time I saw it, Vader was the last person I was expecting to see behind those doors.

 

Oh, that has to be boarding the rebel ship in ANH...

Utter confusion, white walls, white stormtroopers, smoke... And out of it steps utter night.

I get all tingly just thinking about it!

 

That was in Cloud City too, but not the scene Kitt talked about : the one when he is seen up the stairs of the carbon chamber and says his famous 'the Force is with you young Skywalker ; but you are not a Jedi yet'

 

I like all the three scenes mentioned above...but I think my favourite has to be...I don't know! Still loning for the scene...you know, in ep III.
