Somebody gave me a waffle and I refused to eat it.

I had waffles for breakfast the day this forum was reopened, before I even found out this forum had been reopened!

This one time, I had these pancakes. They were good.

This thread should be entitled Pancake and Waffle Legends

So, deep in the woods near the Canadian border, there is an old trail lodge that makes the biggest and best pancakes in the world. Seriously, they are platter-sized and about three inches thick. Yet they're still light and fluffy, so you need about a quart of syrup to go with it... mmmm, so much pancakey goodness. Last time I was there they cost $1.25 each, and if you eat three your table gets breakfast free. Sounds good, eh?

Now, I'm no lightweight when it comes to eating pancakes. But I've tried a number of times and can hardly make it past one. Even after a week out in the wilderness, subsisting solely on berries and crayfish, neither I nor my friends could even eat two. It can't be done, I tell you. But it's worth the try. There once was a chatty little girl that loved waffles. Every Saturday morning for breakfast her mom would make the family waffles. The waffles were square shaped and very delicious. Sometimes if she had been really good her parents would let her put vanilla ice cream on her waffle.

    The End

One time I pitted my waffles and pancakes to fight each other, but somehow they both survived.

This afternoon I was cruising along the interwebs and everyone was talking about pancakes.

This made me think 'Gee, I could really go for some pancakes.'

So I made some and ate them.

Everyone in my house was jealous.

My brother and I were put in charge of making lunch once, and we made pancakes. We had purple, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, pink, brown and I think there might have been a plain one in there somewhere....

We've never been allowed to make lunch again.

Today I wanted sausage and Eggos for breakfast.
But I was out of Eggos.
So I had to have toast.
I'm going to end my life now.

As he boxed up his waffles
    for the move to Florida,
Michael came across a picture of
himself as a boy in his father's lap,
and suppressed the urge to cry.

While buying pancake batter mix at the gas station,
Emma wondered if the man in the green SUV was single,
and worried that she would always be alone.

    Lester wiped the sweat
from the back of his neck,
dropped the waffle by his side,
    stared up at the sun,
    and whispered the word "****."

Lao stood at the ship's bow,
    and peered across the waves
at the pancakes that he loved
    and already missed so much
that it gave him a nauseous
    feeling in his stomach
    to contemplate their absence.
