Thanks for the warm welcome. I actully lived in Morehead for about 10 years so it was funny to read about how you checked the Wal-Mart and K-marts and all Universal. Maybe we were in competition for buying the same things, lol.

I'm 23 myself.

Sorry I haven't been around much, we're leaving tomorrow morning (really early) for a (about) 6 and 1/2 week trip to Europe, so life's been really busy!

We'll be gone until July 17th. We are bringing the laptop, and I will be checking my email, but I won't have much time to post, obviously. I may drop by once or twice, but I'm not sure.

So have fun, and I'll "see" everyone after July 17th!

jarik33, have you ever gone to a movie at the base theater? If so, how is it? The sound, etc.

 

It's OK. It seems like they always have problems getting it going, but once they get it rolling it's alright. I think it's better than Havelock, which of course isn't saying much.

It was just fantastic, thanks for your interest! I had a lot of fun! And I got to meet one of my good friends (that I met here at the JC) in London for the first time, which was WAY cool! We saw AotC together there. After that we (my family and I) totalled 16 countries before flying home this past Tuesday.

We almost got to see the palace where they filmed the Theed Palace, and the lake where they filmed the Lake Retreat, but we couldn't. They were almost exactly opposite of where we wanted to go. Oh well, next time. We did make it to the Art of SW in Scotland, which was very cool! I loved the costumes the most.

I'm working on getting some of the pictures up for people to see. Gotta find some web space.

Thanks for the welcome back. I am glad to be home in many respects, but the heat does NOT thrill me. It was 108 here yesterday in the sun, and SO humid... I hope the weather is nicer closer to the coast.

Okay, I'll shut up now...

 

108 is pretty bad. But it was 115 degrees here yesterday with the heat index. I am not sure what it is today but it can't be too much different.

I LOVE WINTER.

 

Yeah it was Tatooine Hot down here in Morehead as well.

Talk about Tatooine you could burn your feet on the sand easily. Many people kept asking me for towels at work because the pool is getting a lot of overtime.

Okay, I've got one of the pictures from the trip up (on some of my dad's spare ebay picture space. ). It's of me and my friend (who I met online, she posts here as Ginger_Jedi) in the Reading Room at the British Museum (HUGE room FULL of books! ). We spent two days together, and saw AotC together! Check my profile for the picture. I'm the one on the left with the brown hair. The lighting wasn't very good and we're pretty wet (it was raining out), but...
