So, I figure this might be a fun activity for the RPG gang here. If it works, maybe we can get other regulars to post a dilemma for us to vote on. ;)

So my character, Soldier 8/Elite Trooper 2, was flung from 100 years pre-TPM into the Rebellion Era -- albeit an AU-version so Sith Lords rule the Galaxy (more than 2 -- way more than 2). There are essentially fiefdoms ruled by Sith Lords around the Galaxy. So we joined up with the Rebellion while we were researching ways to fix our hyperdrive to make it back home (back in time) and we were approached by an agent of a Sith Lord -- a hot "special agent" of his. My character had only ever met Jedi women (too stuffy) or commoners who wouldn't know their way around a blaster. This girl could disable a Force Pike in a round... [face_love]

Anyways, I went off with her and learned the Sith Lord wanted to make a deal -- he wanted to defeat the Empress and install himself and he'd aid the Rebellion to do so in exchange for freedom of one quadrant of the Galaxy. We knew he was lying, but we were going to come up with an alternate plan for getting rid of him after assaulting the Empress' capital (the Death Star). So, while dealing with the Sith Lord I seduced his agent.

When we returned from a mission to Geonosis to recover the Death Star plans we tried to find the Rebellion and determined that they had been wiped out by the Sith Lord and she had received an order to kill all of us. She tried to attack our Force Adept (who's good with the Affect Mind) so I pulled out my blasters and wounded her badly. I then stunned her, put her in an airlock in a Bubble Cloak and ejected her, ensuring her survival.

So we assaulted the Death Star with the Hapans instead of the Sith Lord and he showed up with a SSD and a fleet behind us so we (stupidly) attacked the bridge of his ship and were destroyed.

So now I'm pissed. Really, really pissed. The last time my character was this pissed he ended up executing two former Jedi who turned Dark by shooting an unconscious one through the head and shooting another one (who was fleeing) in the back with an explosive dart.

My rage is directed mostly towards the Sith Lord and I kinda still have feelings for the girl -- but I'll definitely kill her, if forced.

I'm not opposed to leaving the rest of my party in order ot make contact and sacrificing only myself if need be... what should I do?

    Go with the second option.

A Sith Lord always needs killing, after all, you are the good guy. If the character has feelings for the girl, it makes sense that he would do everything he can to help her and bring her back to the good side.

Yes, this is the most difficult and complicated option, but isn't that what we always end up doing when there is a girl involved? ;)

The only good Sith Lord, is a dead Sith Lord! Unless I'm said Sith Lord, then I'm really a decent guy, Honest! Heh heh heh.
As for the girl, the galaxy is a large place my friend. Surely there's another woman out there who can handle herself in a fight that won't try and kill you when you off her boss. Safest and easiest to be done with both.

Greetings! I've been following this board for a while and I must say this is an interesting dilemma and worth a post:)

I think killing the Sith Lord is the best option, and I agree the best Sith Lord is a dead one:) As a elite soldier this should be just the kind of challenge you are looking for. You would be perfect for starting a new Rebellion and leading them against the Sith Lord. Or find your "Mon Motha" and be her Ackbar. Let her handle the bureaucracy and you the fighting.

And let us not forget the "hot" female. We could create a board of "What women do to men" and never come close to a solution.

To close; I would be out for some sort of vengence and it could be your "reason" to stay around and try to get the girl. Of course your character might be able to just say to the girl "I'm staying for you". But come on, how many guys actually say that in the movies.

As a side-note, our Tech Specialist is working on getting us home (aka back in time) so taking her with us would be required perhaps... ;)

Ok, Sacrifice her to Cthulhu in prayer to get back safely to your own time. She can, and probably will, cause all sorts of trouble if you take her with you.

This should be everyone's LAST CHANCE to decide Zahn's fate (please, for the love of G-d, don't tell Genghis that's what my characters name is -- he'll vote "Kill Zahn; Let Sith and Hand Live -- unless Hand is Mara then Kill Her Too!")

We game tomorrow. I expect to resolve everything one way or the other by then.

What good space transports in the Rebellion Era are there for purchasing with ~200K credits?

And how much xXx can I do? ("I'd like all of that... in there.")

As of now -- the plan is to make Sith Lord == Dead and Hand != Evil.

    200K == 200,000 (not 200 ;))

I think I can get more than a hanglider...

    Agh, I missed the K [face_blush]

The Citadel Cruiser is worth 205.000 credits and I like the design. Pretty cool, in my honest opinion. Yeah, I know, cool designs won't save your skin ;) I'll go for the Barloz or the Firespray-31; add a pair of missile launchers, enhanced maneuver and et voilà.

    Ah, the follow-up.

So there were 17 votes, with the overwhelming majority (10 of you) voting for "Kill Sith Lord Only and Attempt to Sway Hand?"

So with that in mind, that was the gameplan today.

So the game starts off nicely. As you may remember, we're 133 years in our future -- an alternate-universe Rebellion Era period ruled by the Sith and an Empress. Our ship was destroyed by a Sith Lord, the master for my love interest -- the only female to get the attention of my Soldier/Elite Trooper -- an Emperor's Hand of sorts (really just a trained operative/assassin) and we were headed home for the Hapan Cluster, tails between our leg. Lovely.

So the new plan is -- the Death Star will be in-system in one week (7 days) and we'll mount a full-scale offensive. The Queen Mother's contingency plan is to create a clone army at Kamino in the meanwhile -- using me as a template (w00t!). I agree, in exchange for one thing -- a complete information dossier on the Hand. So I take the down-time to get to work modifying my Jedi battle-armor (one of my only surviving possessions). Two days later, I get the information I need -- she's from a small agrarian peasant connunity on a Mid-Rim planet, her family's dead and she was trained in the Sith Lord's military and rose up through the ranks. Oh, careful digging reveals that her family was executed by the Sith.

That night I get attacked in my room while I was up late working on the armor -- one guy sneaks into the room and stuns me (made Fort save) so he's not cautious and I blast him to atoms. Then -- my door bursts in and a Sith (likely a Dark Jedi Weapons Master) greets me. Through a series of combats, he is defeated and my friends are alerted. After searching his ship's logs, it's determined that I (and I alone) have a 100,000 bounty on my head (Alive Only) so I figure now is the time to make my move. Since the Prince of Hapes is a party friend, and Padawan to our Jedi -- I approach him to borrow a shuttle and the two lightsabers that the Dark Jedi who attacked me carried. I told him "I have unfinished business -- something I need to take care of. Something the Sith made wrong that I have a chance to make right." I made a good Diplomacy roll and he gave me what I needed. I sent a coded communication to her (Diva Lyn) that said simply "<her home planet's name>. <time>"

So I said my goodbye to the only other party member who'd been around from Day 1 and let him know "If I'm not back in four days -- I wouldn't expect me to be back at all." Off I flew, a solitary trip with the promise of certain love or certain death. Once I arrived, I set the Lambda Shuttle down near the old farmstead, grabbed a piece of grass to much on and merely lay down on the landing ramp, looking up, and awaited the answers to my questions.

One Listen check later, I heard the approach of footsteps around the rear of the shuttle. Remaining calm and not moving, I allowed Diva to come up around the shuttle and leveling her force pike at my head.

    "Got my message?" I asked.
"Yes -- why are you here?"

So I told her I was there for her. That I came to save her, that she was serving evil but it wasn't too late -- that her master had her parents killed. I showed her the datapad, but she dismissed it as Rebellion lies. As stormtroopers, well, stormed out of the farm and surrounded me she said "Fargorg is my Master now..." And then I was beaten into unconsciousness.

So four days pass on Hapes -- and I don't return. So they decide to go ahead with the mission without me (after a narrow vote whether to retreat to Kamino or not). So the battle against the Death Star is joined. Meanwhile, I am awoken by two troopers who bind my hands in binders and bring me... to the bridge of the SSD that I'd attacked previously. Fargorg, the Sith Lord, is commanding with Diva on the bridge with him. The battle for the Death Star rages on in front of us. So I start going on about why was it that he decided to destroy the Rebellion instead of destroying the Empress and trying to take over.
