I worked as a bouncer for a local rodeo dance yesterday and actually really enjoyed it. Had a couple guys who wanted to throw down, but nothing major. Mainly just keeping the alcohol inside.

    hey man cool,

I did that in high school for a bit. It's not a bad job when people are enjoying themselves but when it gets messy ya really gotta watch yourself. Lots of guys like to wait around till the shows or what have you are done but glad to see you enjoyed yourself man

Hasbro has exclusives for every major con, not just Celebration. And at CIV they had the concept Luke, at Comic con they had concept Obi/yoda. Most were available to purchase else where after the con so they are not really exclusive. Luke was availble at starwarsshop.com. the better exclusives are Gentle giant and Sideshow those are exclusives as they are limited numbers.

I've given up shopping for figures and such here and went back to buying figures from Brian's Toys. It says what they have, when I can get it and is waaaay easier. Me much happier

Thanks but I'm good man, I got a bunch of other stuff I just got rid of.

on a side note, I saw this on DragonConTV when I was in Atlanta and I laughed my ass off at this. This is from an interview that Shatner did during star trek 5 and a band took the interview and mixed a song to it and it's frigging funny.

    LOL, that was pretty good.

On another note, it is nice to see Jurassic Park figures in stores again even if for the most part they suck, LOL.

No idea Jay. None of it makes sense.

The last JP movie was in 2001.....there are no plans for a 4th one at the moment.

Since Hasbro's new design team took over from the Kenner one, JP toys have not sold well. And see that big T-Rex at the bottom of the pic? It was originally released in 1998. It was a prototype in 1993 called the "Gulper T-Rex", however it was put on hold and then released for The Lost World toy line as the "Bull T-Rex". However, the paintjob is much like the original 1993 prototype. And the legs are no longer solid, they can swivel at the torso and have joints at the ankle on the new one. The electronic sounds button is also different, and the sounds are new. And this one does not swallow people like the Bull T-Rex version, I wonder why Hasbro put the work into re-designing this figure and giving it a paintjob like the 1993 version? It is the only one from this line I am interested in buying, the rest are......embarrassing.

The whole thing just doesn't make sense. A Hasbro spokesman did comment on the line and said kids still love dinosaurs, which I agree with fully. I guess they are hoping to score big releasing them now, so close to Christmas. And if they sell well, I know we will see more. I just hope Hasbro goes the same direction with the big T-Rex and revive more Kenner JP molds we have not seen since the 90s.

Did an interview for the paper tonight. It was of a friend who uses dogs to chase bears away on the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range. It is a very intense job, and the best part is next spring I am going with him! All I will have to do is take a 30 minute orientation and I will be in the weapons range chasing bears with dogs and documenting it. And I will get payed. I can hardly wait! :)
