I'm not sure if I posted here yet or not, but I live in Erie, Pennsylvania. Not a bad spot for finding figures lately, plus there're about half a dozen Wal-Marts within 45 minutes of me if I ever have trouble finding something or there's an exclusive I can't find in town.

Bloomfield, NJ. I have almost EVERY store within 10 minutes. And when that fails, I am 20 mins from NYC.

Well, I don't think it's necessary to go as far as hating DA (he's a pretty great guy, one of my oldest & best pals around here actually) but in defense of this thread, I don't see a problem with it being here. It is collecting related, as the first post says, much of collecting has to do with location, which I agree with 100%. I also imagine this thread helps give people an idea of what part of the country (and I guess even the world) a new item is available in. Think about it, if you see someone here talking about recently picking up something you can check this thread to see exactly where that person lives, and by knowing that, know where the new items are. Also, if you find out someone here lives in your area you could PM them about recent finds or info about which stores have what, stuff like that. I think this thread can be very helpful to posters here in Collecting.

Also, this thread was started way back on 1/5/00, so if it's been here this long I don't really see a problem with it staying here.

^ I lived in Cloudcroft New Mexico for two years, in fact I still have a house there, I am quite familiar with El Paso as I would have to drive the 2 hours and 15 minutes there whenever I wanted to do some "real" shopping, or see a movie in a "real" theatre.

I live in Kittanning, PA (outside of Pittsburgh)- We have a wal-mart- pretty good selection- also there is a comic book store (new Dimension)about 25 miles away that has older figures sometimes and a kaybee - then i could also go to pittsburgh or one of it's other suburbs there are targets and wal-marts and k-marts everywhere within like a 40 to 45 mile radius- but my actual town is'nt very big.

 

I live in Statesboro, Ga. If you know where that is I'll give you a virtual dollar.

 

I live in Mobile, AL...down on the Gulf Coast squeezed between Florida and Mississippi, not far from New Orleans.

We have at least half a dozen Wal-Marts, 3 Targets (one brand new Super Target), a sloppy (and mostly worthless) KayBee in the mall, 2 (ready-to-be-closed) K-Marts, and a dirty (but very well stocked) TRU within easy reach. Once things actually get here they're generally easy to find (high supply + low geek population)...but the problem is we're very slow to get the latest waves and sometimes never see exclusives.

Wal-Mart was king here, now TRU seems to be the place to be since things have slowed down.
