Wash, DC Will you read the EU now?

a lot of people would have preferred Jacen Solo dying, me being one of them.

however, he is an EU character, much like his brother and sister.


there were things that time was not appropriate to write about until after certain things were done...hence the Outbound Flight novel having to wait until late this year...it needed to wait until after the movie was released.

 

Well after you get done reading it, let me know how the book had to wait to be released until after EPIII opened. I'm very curious about where EU is heading now that the movies are done.

some things were supposed to happen in RotS that would tie into the book...but after seeing the movie...I can't see how that happens.

 

I've read all the way through NJO, but there's books that I just haven't gotten around to reading, or simply don't want to (the one I'm deffinately dreading reading is Children of the Jedi, Barbara Hambly *yuck*). I used to be on a mission to read them all, but I've deffinately gotten a bit lazy lol.

I was told Lucas said that at CIII. I didn't get to see the Lucas Q&A myself though but I know 4 people who did.

Oh, yeah, I'm going to believe him now. Wasn't he the one who said something like "The MF will be in Ep III and you won't believe who's piloting it."

 

Well he was half right, I suppose. It was in there. Perhaps the pilot part got cut

 

Well, I started to be doubtful with KJ Anderson's trilogy, and the whole "Jedi can fly through the air like Superman" gave me an "um, right?" moment, but I knew the EU had jumped the shark when Luke ended up married to Mary Sue Jade. The NJO, to me, is just the NJUgh. Jaina & Jaicen communicating telepathically? Can we say "oldest plot cliche in SF?" Sigh...

And now they're ruining the prequels. Sigh. I'm at the point I don't think I WANT to watch the TV series.
